Anyone think Herman is a bit overrated? He fielded an at-times great team that loses to Navy, SMU and Memphis?
I think it's honestly hard to say. I think the writing has been on the wall all year that Herman would be gone after this year. Hard to imagine how much of the locker room has been lost as a result.
Don't players at schools like Houston sort of know that's the deal though?

Looks like Herman to Texas is official
Report: Texas to hire Tom Herman as next coach - CBSSports.com
Over under 6 million?
I know it's been discussed, but I can't find it - anyone know what the Strong buyout looks like?
I thought I saw on ESPN it was upwards of $10 million but less if he found another job.

AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Texas has decided to fire Charlie Strong as football coach, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy and multiple reports.
Strong will coach the Longhorns' final regular season game Friday against TCU before stepping down. He's 16-20 in three seasons at Texas and 12-14 in Big 12 play. His final game will clinch either a bowl bid or his third seven-loss season.
Strong is owed a buyout of $10.7 million for the remaining two years on his contract, a fee which would be reduced if he takes another job.

FootballScoop has a report Oregon is firing Helfrich and looking at Fleck and the Boise HC. I thought they were supposed to be able to throw millions at some HC? Seems odd two mid-major HCs would be the choice then not someone like Les Miles.

If they're paying him what I think they are, it would be hilarious if he sucked.
I'm not sure I can look at Kelly on our sidelines any longer. This year has truly soured me on the guy. I understand ND is not a training wheels type of job, but we need some positive energy infused into this program. Give me Fleck and let's row the boat, although I'd take Oregon over ND if I was PJ, right?
Why would anybody take Oregon over ND? The facilities? That's all Oregon has over ND (besides the women). Oregon isn't in the same league as the ND job.
