The first part IS true, they aren't that good... as compared to last year anyways. Jameis just willed them to 31 points against the Irish.

The second part will most likely happen just as you say but at least they will be about a top 15 team at the time of the ND game.

I hope you're right, but if Louisville blows FSU out (and even if the score is close, the press will deem it a blowout) and ND barely beats NAVY, I have little doubt that ND will fall in the poll.

I'm rooting for FSU. I don't see us getting in at 11-1 over them if they go 12-1.

Not only will we have the head-to-head loss, but they will have better wins than us. They will have beaten a Top-5 team in ND. They will have wins over Clemson, Ok State, Miami, and whoever they beat in the ACC Conf Champ game. We'll have wins over 9-3 L'ville (best-case scenario), AZ State who will win 9-10 games, and then Stanford/USC who look destined for 7-5 seasons.

If we go 11-1, that means FSU has a win over a Top-5 team. Our best win will be against L'ville or ASU who will be Top 15 if we're lucky. I really don't see any benefit to FSU losing.
