Who will give the FSU inspirational speech at halftime? I don't care what this does to our SOS. I want FSU to burn. We can worry about Louisville when the time comes. Thank God we aren't playing them in PJ Stadium though.

Cardinals are hammering the Seminoles so far 21-0 late in the 2nd. I thought it would be a close game, but did not expect it to be this lopsided in favor of Louisville.

Makes me feel this Notre dame team is not that good

Watching this game, and several other top 10 teams this year, not to many teams really look that good. They are unbeatable one week, then get taken to the ledge the next. Miss St may be the only one who hasn't shown that.

Just when a lot of us wrote UofL off as a W, looks like it's gonna be a lot tougher game

Anyone who believes in the transitive property in college football is a fool. Frankie says relax.

I don't believe in the transitive property in football but I do believe FSU was vastly overrated and after they get boatraced tonight, ND's close loss is no longer a factor. That's ok though b/c I'm looking forward to next year when ND should be a complete team. This year, I'lll be thrilled w/ a minimum of a 10 win season. I don't think they run the table like most ND fans assume.

I think this is ideal for us. FSU gets killed and then, if we stomp on Navy, ASU, N/Western and Louisville, I think we'd be set up for a "win and in" game vs USC.

I normally don't rag on ESPN , but their front page cracks me up:

"Alabama down early in Louisville" would be the headline if it was them or another SEC team.

I think Jameis has a few more picks in him. He's never faced this kind of adversity on the field & I'm expecting him to panic by forcing passes. FSU is about to get boatraced.

Agreed. I'd much rather have back to back double digit win seasons than almost anything. If we could somehow play LSU or Georgia in a bowl game id be so damn happy.

Weren't they behind in the National Championship game? He can definitely overcome adversity. He's shown more vulnerability than last year but he's still a fantastic player. My only problem with FSU losing is that we got a lot of goodwill and really gained some respect by barely losing to them, and if Louisville rocks them, it kind of takes a dump on that.

What a lucky f-ucking break

*Hope this doesn't shift the momentum like their fake punt down 21-3 in the natty.

Almost as ridiculous as He-Who-Can't-Tie-His-Shoes recovering that fumble against us for a TD in 2011.

One of the announcers sounds like he has a big man crush on Winston

I wouldnt say vastly overrated, look at all the mistakes FSU is making. It would be hard for any team to win giving the ball away as much as they are.

Everyone agrees they're not as good as last year's team...that's an accepted opinion regardless of one's bias. Even before the mistakes, the FSU defense is getting gashed...Dyer has 100 yds & 2 TD and it's only halftime. I don't care how many stars their defenders have coming out of high school, they look horrible tonight.

If Louisville wins, does hurt our chances in the playoff rankings? Or will it just look that much better if we beat Louisville?

Did Griese just say Nd went into halftime up 7 and then gave the game away in the second half?

If you're Louisville, you remember what happened in the Florida St. Notre Dame game. Florida St was down 7 at halftime and Notre Dame came out and gave that game away.

"The Call" aside, I thought Winston had a Heisman half, 15 of 16, foe the win.

I don't think it helps us for sure. But then we have to railroad Louisville when we play them.

Watching this first half, the game is going just as I'd hoped it would [though didn't think it had a chance]. Louisville beating FSU is, in my opinion, exactly what ND needs. It wouldn't help us THIS week, but WHEN we beat Louisville, that will cement in everyone's mind that we ARE better than FSU and not only outplayed them, but were hosed out of the win. This is the only scenario where football savvy analysts can correctly come to the conclusion that ND is as close to an unbeaten team as you can get. After we beat Louisville, we should [given other teams knocking one another off] "ascend" into the top four. Then it's beat USC to go to the dance.

If Louisville wins, then only ourselves or really bad opponent W/L occurrences can keep us out.

If UL wins, then I see it as a do-over for ND. They were robbed of an opportunity to get a big win by the refs late. UL looks good so far, but FSU is definitely feeling the slump right now after a big win. UL with Gardner and Parker is dangerous, and those two losses to UVA and Clemson were total flukes (both without those two). They stay healthy, UL is most likely undefeated right now.
