Holy **** that's suicide

Prior to Swarbrick we were 7 home 4 away and 1 off-site. Now we are 6 home 5 away and 1 offsite. It technically counts as one of our home games giving us 7. Maybe Texas would do it but as a fan I think they should keep it on the campuses.
That's why we play @ Stanford or USC every year
Our offense should be ROLLIN next year, no excuses why they shouldn't be
Looking at that schedule now. I have every game as a W, except the UM, Stanford, and FSU games as toss ups

We open up with Texas in 2015 and then again at texas in 2016, the 2015 game would be cool to make a shamrock game.
Its my understanding its a home and home series which I like.
Shamrock could "technically" be the home half of a home and home. It's not officially neutral site.

Yeah save the SS game for a "lesser" opponent. No offense to ASU, which is a hell of a team, but they don't have a national following like Texas does. ND/UT is a draw unto itself, we don't need the extra hype for that match up. I'm not saying you can't schedule a good team, ASU is good, but just a team that doesn't get huge amounts of hype. Maybe a middle tier SEC team? Vandy? Tennessee? Ole Miss?NBC has the TV rights for ND home games including Shamrock Series games. An SS Game with Texas would have to be outside of Texas and the Big 12 territory because of THEIR TV contract.
It will stay a Home and Home unless ND can't find an SS opponent ( which is not a problem) and Texas is willing to play in CA or FL.
I don't see the wisdom of giving up HFA with marque programs plus Texas in South Bend could well be ESPN GameDay exposure.
That's why Alabama plays one tough game then plays scrubs for 5 games, then plays maybe a semi-tough game and then has a weakling. Last year they lost when they finally had to play two tough opponents in a row. That's why Notre Dame has the hardest schedule almost every year. We only play FBS opponents and we're not afraid to go on the road, go neutral site, and schedule 3 or 4 tough teams in a row. People can talk about the Service Academy games all they want but A)we originally started playing them because they were the best teams in the nation and B)Navy/AF>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Georgia State. When you look at each game on it's own you could do that... people never consider the impact of playing all of those teams in a row without real let up...
it's brutal.
I'm happy with a shamrock series game anywhere in which it helps recruiting. So Cali, Florida, Texas and Carolina

We are already going to be playing at least one game in the Carolinas most likely. No reason to go to Charlotte. Stick to the South.
Eh that's lame. We don't really need any more exposure in Indiana...I don't really foresee playing Purdue in Indy having any impact on recruiting.Notre Dame, Purdue 'close' to game at Lucas Oil Stadium

It's nice that some of you live in Indianapolis, but what is the point of playing Purdue in Indy? It is a nice stadium, but so's ours. Just add another home game.
Scuttlebutt is that the game next year is going to be in Indy against likely Purdue... I am guessing because of the ACC scheduling that we have to start building in they had to scramble to fill for '14 and get better organized for '15

Personally i don't care about any of you guys and where you want ND to play, i only care about myself and the fact that ND will play 10 minutes from my house is incredibly awesome. Did i mention that i don't care about any of you guys?
I with you. It's all about Indy, brah. Driving up 31 all the time is a drag, bring that puppy to ME! Besides, Swarbri k is an Indy guy, I knew he'd bring the game here eventually
