Objectively, taking the long view of things, it's in the top 10 but not an end-all-be-all.
Natty, Stanford in '12, Oklahoma '12, USC '10, FSU '14, Stanford '15, and some others were all comparable or more important.
Looking strictly at his future and the team moving forward from this point in time, this game is a 9.5 out of 10 on the importance scale. By beating Michigan this game became a "must win" because of how it sets the team up for the future... if he already had an L on the schedule it'd be like an 8 out of 10, but right now he has the opportunity to do something special.

I don't doubt it... can't blame them either with the recent history. A little bit like MSU in recent years for us... we are rarely worried as a base with that game, even when they are really good.

Overrated, "nervous atmosphere" going in, with a lot of ND question marks...

lol......That's what I told her, but did say that if any happen to sit next to us they will be a little more sophisticated than any scUM fan. I also checked StubHub and the seats next to us are for sale, so at this moment we'll have some elbow room.

I was checking it out today. Apparently there is an ND fan that posts there, but he is WAY too nice to those douches... Saying our Secondary is not as impressive as he expected, Tillery's incident as a Frosh, caving to their critiques, etc. They are also bringing up Declan and Lizzie again, saying ND is a football factory wannabe, and so on. It's pure class....

I wish but no. Difference between Stanford & SC is that the Cardinal believe they will win...they won’t quit until the final whistle. SC quit by the end of the ND game last season...just ask Quenten Nelson. They have less talent than last year’s SC team & this year’s ND team but that means nothing to them as Shaw has built a winning culture. An ND blowout win over Stanford would be the 4th most likely option IMO. CBK & ND needs the win...badly.
