I think its actually straight forward. BK and CL want to limit BW getting hit. They know they do not have the OL that they had last year to essentially push their way into the endzone. They need a legitimate threat throwing PA fakes while keeping the formations from being a tell.

Not saying I agree with any of that, but I think it shows their lack of faith in the overall offense this year. In reality it is holding the team back from establishing an identity,

Maybe....but BK and Lea don't mind running Tranquill and Coney out 90 times a game

I think BK is hiding things by being conservative but outside of using a smaller playbook until Stanford, I don't think anything else is being done to throw Stanford off.

I hope so, watching this offense is painful at times. I know these coaches are good at what they do, just trying to figure out what may be the root cause of the disconnect that we're seeing.
it also could be as simple as we're just not very good, but I would rather put my tin foil hat on ;)

Looking for a single ticket at face, preferably in the South endzone, but not really too picky. Shoot me a PM if you can help me out!

EDIT: ND released more tix today and I snagged one

It's going down! We should be tailgating in the Stadium lot again.

Anyone else gonna be here? I'll bring the beers.

It’s a one game season, boys. This is a HUGE game for Kelly and for the program. Absolute must-win.

I'm ready for their refs to home brew some ridiculous nonsense. Why do conferences still employ the refs?

Glad they pulled it out in OT, now we get a Top 10 showdown in primetime! Too bad Gameday will likely be at the White Out, cuz this game has just as many playoff implications imo. Stanford isn't ready for the Ian Book experience lol

I hope to hell BK coaches like it. I hope the guys on O come down to earth quickly, and what more, instead of being happy about their WF game...

I was not impressed with Stanford’s defense tonight. Oregon should have scored at least 10 more points.
Their big WRs, though, are as scary as ever.

Arcega-Whiteside is a monster, and as usual they have a couple huge TEs patrolling the middle of the field...annnd Bryce Love. Should be a hell of a game!

I'm torn here a bit. I think our DBs will be ready given they practice against a bunch of jumbo athletes every day. I'm more scared of their running game. Also, going to Or is tough IMO. Stanford's D did enough. I do think we can do better than Or did though (on O).

They made Herbert look like a Heisman finalist, so Stanford's defense definitely wasn't impressive. Oregon's inability to win in the trenches was a huge reason Stanford was able to stay in this game.

Oh, and if I see our secondary play like Oregon's did tonight, I'm probably going to throw my TV out the goddamn window.

I never see TE Smith getting bumped at the LOS. We need to do something to disrupt him and obviously pressure Costello. This is a monster game boys.

I'm glad I stopped watching the Stanford game last night when Oregon scored that TD in the 3Q. Seriously though, that's when I stopped watching figuring it wasn't worth staying up for.

I am not sure how good Oregon's D-line is but they looked to be just a step slow getting to the QB. Hopefully our guys are just a little bit faster and i sure hope our DB's don't play as bad as their's did in the second half.

Also if we have Pac-12 officials get ready for some bad refs.

I wanna see if Dexter plays and if he makes a difference.

I like Armstrong and Jones but Dex is on another level.

Oregon O did fine in the trenches and moved the ball on Stanford. Oregon lost that game. Stanford didn’t win it.

The hard thing about watching us vs wake and then Stanford vs the ducks is determining what carries over and what is a grain of salt.

I do think Stanford will make us pay running the football if we give some of the lanes and poor tackling we did vs Wake.

Stanford is most certainly going to have a better pass D than what we just saw as well.

I expect a typical Stanford/ND game.

Oregon won the trenches for the bulk of the game. That's what was so surprising. If there's one thing to worry about it's Stanford's TEs. They're beasts. Most will focus on their RB, but it's their TEs that are so impressive. Repeatedly, Costello simply threw jump balls to his TEs.

Hopefully Stanford will come in tired like USC did last year and ND can take advantage.

I thought Whiteside was the most impressive receiving threat for Stanford. If it becomes a shoot out (which I don't think it will) I believe the Irish have more threats that are more dangerous than Whiteside.

I'm gonna go ahead and claim that Oregon's defense is garbage. Have been for some time now and have no reason to believe it has changed. They've simply been bolstered by some of the worst teams in the FBS in San Jose State and Bowling Green, as well as playing FCS Portland State (who might actually be better than San Jose St).
