Clean game if unspectacular. Defense played very well, offense did enough to keep adding points. MSU absolutely imploded.

Down to our 4th string running back, hoping that was precautionary.

I think it was more of getting him some reps since the game seemed in control I'm hoping.

A lot closer than you think. If it "wasn't even close" why not hire Dantonio, ride him till retirement and then worry about his replacement when that bridge comes?

Not even close implies either Kelly is a really bad coach or Dantonio is among the elite of the elite.

Yeah. "Respect for Notre Dame" really isn't the issue. I'm sure he'd respect Notre Dame just fine if he were the coach. And he's a good coach (though out-coached tonight). Just not a good fit for the job, personality-wise, and at 61 is probably too old to start in on it.

He goes absolutely Bush League when he plays us. Going for two down by 3 possessions, onside kick, timeout with 1:35, and then spiking the ball. All for what? Almost cost him his QB's knee.

Cut blocks are perfectly legal and they use them every game. I'm talking specific to how he acts in relation to one team. Also, I say this because people have mentioned him as a next head coach. No one has mentioned Ken or Shaw.

Rightfully or not, the thing that most people remember about the 2012 game was the Manti story-line. Today was all about the fact that MSU was never really in the game after they kicked the ball off.

It's so nice that BK has made us competitive or in some cases even dominant in our rivalry games again. Davie couldn't beat MSU. Willingham and Weis couldn't beat USC. It could be said that BK struggled with Hoke and Denard Robinson, but it's excusable after the 37-0 win to end the series.
