I think it's because they're small schools with limited fanbases and no real winning tradition. So you end up with the teams being covered by a total die hard who's developed a huge chip on their shoulder because their program gets no respect or attention.

Temple had an excellent coach coincide with some real NFL talent over the past couple years. They had an excellent draft last year. It's easy to start assuming that's how it is.

This LB crew is going to wreck some teams. Just gotta hope the D line can do their part to keep lineman off of Nyles Martini and everyone else

Love the LB crew.

I think our starting DL is going to be quite good. And I like our depth at DE. What do we get out of DT's not named Tillery and Bonner is the question. I think in most games, the defense will come out hot and give the offense some chances to get leads early. JMO.

I hate playing the guessing game but that's my thought as well. We should be solid early, then we'll find out what our rotation players give us. Really hope our offense is as potent as we expect because we need to score early and often to give the defense time to gel.

Maybe I'm wrong and our defense is fire from the gun to the whistle.

The game can not get here soon enough.

Per DT depth: I know that freshmen are listed behind Tillery and Bonner, but I really hope that was to light a fire under Tiassum and MDT. MDT was making noise last year before his injury and there have been some Tiassum sightings in fall camp. I'm not expecting Tony Springmann or Kona Schwenke, but if they can give play just a few snaps a game with their hair on fire, that will go a long way to keeping Tillery, Bonner and the freshmen spelled enough for November.

I think it's because Hinnish is that good.

I think it's because Hinnish is that good.

From what the coaches have said, and all the reports out of practices, I think it has more to do with effort than talent. Apparently Hinish and MTA go 110% on, literally, every rep. Even if sometimes that rep doesn't look the best, lol.

I was quoting lucci

Personally I'd say "I hope the DL can be average"

Pretty unanimous that the starting DL has looked good in practice. Against, what should be, one of the best OL's in the country.

Jamie U at ISD, who I wouldn't categorize as a sunshine pumper, has written about it at length.

Does anyone argue the starting DL looks good though? I'm pretty sure it's a unanimous agreement our starting DL will be good.

It's the 2nd string interior DL that's terrifying. And that's the last position you want to be soft.

Where's gkirish?

I went back and checked and he's the one who posted the game predictions with a nifty poll attached... like this:

http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/notre-dame-football/310891-2016-week-8-prediction-poll-miami-nd.html

He would normally post them on Monday of game week.

Can't call Vegas until I analyse the kool-aid vs hater-aid data from IE.

Already 2 days late...

Someone got his beeper #?

Gk got soft, renounced the Greeks, threw his support behind the Turks, from what I hear
