Apparently setting up visits and we may get one. Would be a great fall-back if King falls through, or just to get him in general. Insane upside, but VERY raw. With the connections to ND, we most likely get a visit, and should be in a very good position to land him. Would love to see what Gilmore can do with this kid.

Yea that's what I thought. We haven't made contact since his season ended. They are looking to take visits and without an offer they are focused on other schools. That could change but it doesn't sound likely. Not nearly as positive of an update for ND as you made it sound. The only real positive in that article is when the coach says he did have interest in ND but we asked him to narrow things down. That really means without an offer we've been eliminated.

The statement you made of we most likely get a visit is misleading/borderline just wrong. Also the we have a good shot to land him, very similar. Without an offer, at this point have zero chance to land him.

You're not doing the casual reader of IE (that doesn't know you regularly make outlandish comments about all things ND) any favors by sharing those false statements.

Well, good thing they weren't false statements. I stated that he was scheduling visits, we could be one of them, he has ND connections and interest. I also mentioned that I do not have access to the article, so somebody needed to translate.

I never said ND was "in touch" or that he was for sure visiting ND at all. I did say that if he visits we'd be in a very good spot to land him. He did come up for the Michigan game with his family and wasn't disappointed. In addition, like I said, he has family in the ND inner circle. I'd say that gives us a reason to feel at least a bit optimistic. I dunno what you want from me people. I'm not this big-time underground reporter. I'm just a casual observer, who on occasion puts his words out there. I do appreciate your words, because unlike most people who are just bombarding me with insults and degrading my intelligence, you at least took time to argue what was wrong with my comment. So, I thank you for that.

I should have clarified better that ND would be in a good spot if they receive a visit and rest assured, I don't see a situation where Kelly and co. don't offer this guy.

That is very very far from the truth at this time. At best that is misleading, like I stated in my post. Readers of IE deserve better than that, in everyone's opinion.

There is little indication that ND is pursuing him hard at this point. Also, that statement doesn't follow from the tweet linking an article you did not read.

I am gonna offer some advice which I hope you take in good spirit:

1. Dont make unfounded assertions as facts.
2. Understand that for the majority of recruits, ND will never be a landing spot
3. Understand that you can't make bold predictions from a twitter link
4. Seek to understand, then be understood
5. Context is key
6. facts matter, opinions are fine but subject to "examination"
7. Don't confuse facts and opinions

You're probably a really nice guy away from the boards. Truly. But there's a real lack of awareness here, and that's the problem many have with your posts. I mean, if you can't see what is wrong with your above post, after admitting you didn't even read the article, then there's a serious disconnect going on.

I won't tell you not to post, but I will say that as long as you do post on this board in the same manner you always post, then you can expect the same blowback you always receive. Either accept that you see things different than pretty much every single football fan out there and keep on doing what you do with the same criticism you always get, or take the advice that so many have given you.
