Below is a story about a cheerleader with Cystic Fibrosis from my old high school, Riverton Parke. Great story that deserves to be shared.

Chris Evans And Chris Pratt Settle Bet With A Super Visit To Seattle Children's Hospital

Chris Pratt And Chris Evans Visit Children's Hospital, Prove They're Real-Life Superheroes

I can't find it right now, but saw on Tumblr a few days ago someone had collected shots from these guys hospital visits along with those of Christian Bale, Henry Cavill and a few others that I can't remember of the top of my head

PS: I understand they are not exactly Mother Theresa, but still doing good things with their time and attention. I remember reading that Pratt mad sure he made off with at least one of his Star Lord coats when filming wrapped so he could do exactly this kind of thing

Posted this in Comics thread, but fits here on a smaller scale I think

I'm a sucker for this stuff, so thanks for this thread.

Every Friday in my class, I end a little early and I show a video about ordinary people doing extraordinary things, whether it be for themselves (handicapped people overcoming odds, for instance) or for others...I call it "Feel-Good Friday". My students absolutely love it. Got some new ones in this thread...thank you to all.

Knowing a few people with Cystic Fibrosis, it's good to see how she lets it affect her lifestyle as little as possible, similar to everyone I know with the disease.

It's easy to get cynical, when you are bombarded by the worst news every day. And humans, like electricity, generally follow the path of least resistance. NDinLA's Feel Good Fridays will probably have a much bigger effect than he realizes. It conditions kids to stop and recognize the good on a regular basis.

Ordinary people doing extraordinary things, just for the sake of others (who might not even deserve it)

Burger King picking up tab for Burger-King wedding - News - The State Journal-Register - Springfield, IL

Joel Burger and Ashley King have been Burger-King since they were in the fifth grade together in New Berlin.

When they announced their engagement this spring, they had their picture taken next to the BK restaurant logo in Springfield. They flipped their names so that Joel's would be first in the announcement. Normally the woman's name is first. But then it wouldn't have been Burger-King, would it?

Burger King the hamburger company is paying the expenses and providing gifts for the July 17 wedding of Joel and Ashley in Jacksonville, aka the Burger-King nuptials.

MLK would be proud. This young man shows the content of his character

MLK would be proud. This young man shows the content of his character

... and apparently so did the cop

22 year old Will Stack an African American was pulled over by a "Caucasian" cop for improper use of the median. According to Stack the cop was professional, asked for license registration and proof of insurance. The cop explained proper use of the mediand and issued a warning.

After the stop, Stack self recorded a video explaining the situation. His video's gone viral. He explains the cop was doing his job and he notes that as the cop approached the car, Stack turned down his radio, and put his hands on the steering wheel (letting the cop see there was weapon, no threat), and got his paperwork out. Stack added, "I was polite as I usually am."

Then he got to the heart of the matter:
People need to realize not all officers are crooked, they are not bad persons, they're not all racists. Not all people that get shot, tazed, or arrested by officers are innocent victims. Just because you're black doesn't mean you're a victim. Just because you are white doesn't mean you're a racist. Just because you're a cop doesn't mean you're bad.

This world needs to stop putting labels on people and see them for who they are, people doing jobs, doing things.

Ignorance has no color. God doesn't see color. Why should we?

This should be required viewing in driver's ed classes as well in police training classes. If you have a teenager take two minutes and watch it together and discuss.
