Strong looks like a dead man walking. That was sad...

Strong knows he has a ton of work to do, I hope the fans give him the time to do it. They will be a much better team next year and I'm sure they'll continue to ascend if they give him time.

Great win for the Irish.

If Texas doesn't give Strong five years it's their funeral... Just sayin, he will absolutely turn it around, given time. My concern is my brother in law, a Longhorn, as a barometer, 'Texas doesn't have down years! Texas competes every year!' If he is the general pulse... They will skewer Strong, though I think my bro in law is a bit tunnel visioned, I don't think he watches anything but longhorn and Bronco football.

Absolutely. He Needs time, not sure the alumni will give it to him. He just looked real sad. Not sure if it was his team's performance or their behavior.

Loved almost everything about this win. Folston is the only negative. That was just solid. If we can continue to tighten up the little things and get better we can be good. Legit good.

Texas at Notre Dame Game Thread

Enjoy gentlemen, for tonight they are not us, and we are not them.
The fans on Texas board are flat out saying Strong may not be long as the head coach. "18 months is plenty long to fix their problems".... Geez. It's taken BK six years to get us here depth wise.

To be fair to their fanbase, which I'll admit is being extremely impatient, Texas had a lot more talent and a lot more recruiting advantages built-in when Charlie showed up. But I agree it's crazy to start thinking about moving on after the first game of his 2nd year.

There's a lot of good young ballplayers on that team. Would be stupid to run off Strong at this point.

Hey guys, we ran the ball...a lot. 52 carries by 9 different players in comparison to 26 passes attempted. I like it, we completely controlled the tempo. I'm sure 20 carries came in the 4th as we ran out the game, but that's okay.

SIAP but was at the game above the tunnel and saw a player going off the field on crutches after the game. This player had a single number (obviously not folston). Anyone hear anything?

Options are:
Carlisle 3
Chris Brown 2
Coney 4
Sebastian 4
VanGorder 4 (Wait...that's three 4's...)
Morgan 5
Russell 6
Fuller 7
Zaire 8
Sanders 9
Jaylon 9

In short....

To narrow it down further, it wasn't a white guy and we were pretty sure that we saw Zaire and Russell. Also, the player didn't have dreads, so not Jaylon, right?

This and Strong's attitude are why I think Texas is actually going to be pretty good this year, and ND had the best opening opponent of any of the top 25.

Sebastian is number 8, on defense, isn't he?

aTm also played ASU and Auburn played Louisville... Both id say are better than Texas... But Texas isn't horrible and I expect them to wins some games, I saw their schedule last night though and remember thinking their road is far from easy.

I would also say Minnesota is better then Texas.

Minnesota is better too IMO... But again, none of this means Texas is awful...
