MSU lost ALL their talent and playmakers on D minus McDowell, they lost their QB, LT and much more without decent players to spell them the way we have. I don't see a lot of talent on their team and think they will not only lose to us but also finish the season unranked.

My thought was that he was thinking that maybe those guys meant more to our defense than we were aware of, and that their loss will be more impactful than we assumed by their play while at ND. As in, they may have been much better than we thought.

This is my guess as well. But aren't they just playing against other back ups and rookies? They were good players for ND but I don't think it will take long to replace them.

Crawford won't be matched up with a guy on the outside if they run a Baylor offense. He'll be in the slot with Coleman and Luke on the outside. I'm 75% confident that we will be able to get pressure on the QB so we will see if long pass plays will even have time to develop.

Yeah, I even accidentally left out BC, so he's 7-1 just in the last two years for road games where we were favored. That dude pulled that out of his ass.

speaking of Kelly, Notre Dame is an unimpressive 5-9 ATS as road favorites in the Kelly era.
