Depends on if 4-vert is their base offense, if so, then it is designed to attack a base cover 2. Instead, we should be running a Cover 2 Man or a Cover 4. Just my opinion.

Cover 2 man is exactly what I meant. Virtually everything in those defense is man concept. What I meant was we better be playing with two high safeties where they don't have man coverage responsibilities against WRs. If we have Studstill or Tranquil close the the LOS playing off man on a WR I'm going to lose my goddamn mind.

Seriously, if we just tell Studstill and Tranquil "don't get beat deep" and give them zero other responsibilities, BVG can get creative with the front 7 and we should be fine.

If he gets cute with the safeties, Wooly should get his wish for a Bob Elliot Coup d'etat immediately.

Tranquil is going to see some time near LOS, it is one of his strengths. What that ultimately does to Studstill and our secondary is enough to give you nightmares.

I started watching Cal - Hawaii, realized it was garbage football, turned on ND-USC from last year. Pumped as ever to crush the Longhorns. Sko!

That first half was so f'ing frustrating... I tried watching it a few weeks ago... I couldn't get through it,... Pissed me off, even knowing what ultimately happened.... Lol

True story: started the U$C game with my then 4 month old on my lap. Good times. Put her in the crib upstairs before half. She started crying and going nuts right around when those assholes took the lead. Brought her back down, and the rest is history.

*I apologize for the Clemson game. Mrs. Steelhead wouldn't let me near the baby during that game, and for good reasons.

Yup. Could have been up 21 points early in the game there, but that strip by Adoree on the goal line was pivotal. Would have been nice to stomp a mudhole in the Trojans that game, but I was just happy for the win. First time I saw a win against USC at a home game. Saw way too many losses dating back to Petey's early days.

I turned the USC game on for my 2 year old and 4 year old last night...they both fell asleep before halftime  At least the youngest has that in common with his namesake, Grandpa Phil.

Yeah, anytime I watch, it's really just the first quarter up until the strip, then I 4x forward to the end.

Got a nice soundbar for Christmas, and the first thing I watched to test it was that bomb to start on offense to Fuller. Definitely played it on an endless loop for a few minutes.

Do you mean to prove (to ourselves or anybody else) that we are playoff-caliber?

No man... Shit no... Where you coming up with that? Ha.

This isn't a test of how good we are. I think we leave this game satisfied or disappointed. There is no reason we shouldn't beat them, imo. We learn who we are against MSU.

Of course you neocons think the coolest town in Texas is a mess. It's only the nicest place to live, the best nightlife and the highest percentage of educated people in the state.

You guys have fun watching monster truck rallies in Amarillo like poors. I'll go visit Zele and get BBQ at a cool ass bar on 6th St while listening to some of the best music in the country.

But I get it... You don't like liberals and shit. Don't forget to finish your corn dog before the trucks start flinging mud.

Going to be a great game to test how stupid BVG is or isn't... we better be playing like 80% cover 2 with the FS just making sure no one gets behind him.

He was pretty smart in last year's contest, a repeat would be great.

Even Austin won't accept your EBT for "some cool ass" barbecue, and FEMA trailer in tow, bitch.

You'd look great in a teasing cock hat like that hottie above. ;)

Kai Locksley now listed as WR on Texas’ roster - Burnt Orange Nation

By Cody Daniels 8/27/16

What was only speculation and a possible move just days ago has now become reality, as Kai Locksley is now listed as a wide receiver on the Texas Longhorns roster. The move had become increasingly anticipated after sophomore quarterback Jerrod Heard made the transition to receiver - a seemingly seamless transition - earlier this month after falling to third on the depth chart. The redshirt frosh Locksley was even further down the line, likely looking to be the fifth-best option at quarterback, hence, why the now-clear move to receiver was the best option besides a transfer.

Though Locksley committed to Texas in 2015 as a four-star dual-threat quarterback, his skill set and natural frame is likely better suited to play receiver at the college level.
