Duke is only on pace for to put up 480 yards so not 500. Their stellar QB is 13-15 though. Would like to know what the opposing QB's completion % is the last 5-6 games? Not very good but zero pressure and piss poor DB work can do that. Opposing QBs must be licking their chops and hoping Kelly hangs onto this POS excuse for a D.C. Until the end of the season. Of course want ND to pull this out but want the O to pull it out. Not interested in this D making some half ass short term effort and prolonging this BVG Schitt storm. ND 63- Duke 56. Definition of win win. ND wins and BVG gets deservedly and unceremoniously CANNED! WIN WIN!!!

Some of these upperclassmen need to sit a bit, see if some backups want to come in and play with some fire. Seeing guys like James sit back and get run over by a freshman QB, Luke looks like he's not trying. Haven't really seen Rochelle even play up to his normal level, he's been almost invisible it seems. I want to see some heart, like that run by Dexter Williams.

Maybe some of these seniors are throwing in the towel now that the playoff is out of the picture?

It's just incredible that this defense causes no turnovers, gets sacks or applies any pressure to an offense. BVG is literally using a scheme that was last successful in the early 2000's. What the heck was Kelly thinking when he hired this guy? This is exactly what happened his one year at Auburn.

I don't think the 'out of the picture' syndrome is where it's at..... I truly believe it is a 'comfort zone' issue..... the "David vs. Goliath' syndrome is what's happening and I agree- put in some boys that want to try and prove they can compete

This was a huge issue at Auburn when BVG was there: poor tackling, lack of raw physical toughness on the D, and safeties having to make most of the plays (and not being able to). He doesn't seem to be able to produce mean-ass, hard-nosed defenses that can just whip your butt and shut you down. Too much Baryshnikov, not enough Butkus.
