What happens when a very stoppable force meets an easy to move object?MSU's offense is a perfect matchup for our defense.

Also interested to see the linebackers attacking a traditional run game. I think it plays to Morgans' and Coney's strengths, and should make things a bit easier on our DL in terms of getting to obvious pass-rush situations. Still don't know about the secondary, thought, aside from feeling good about Studstill in run support.
My concern is typical freshman safety playing heavy run being susceptible to play action pass. We know it wont be a really high scoring game and it only takes a couple of those freshman cover mistakes to be long scores.
BIG recruiting weekend, right there with Irish Invasion. Hope for good weather and an exciting game that ends with an Irish W.

Damn i'm AMPED for this game! It is soooo huge for ND, and with a solid win, it gives us an opportunity to make some moves in the rankings as well.
In addition to us possibly knocking off #12 MSU at night, in OUR HOUSE,
1 Alabama vs 15 Ole Miss
2 FSU vs 10 Louisville
3 Ohio St playing 15 Oklahoma
7 Standford vs USC (never know with these two, maybe an upset for us)
15 Texas A&M vs Auburn (possibility of an update??)
Not to mention was a huge recruiting weekend this is for us!!!
LETS F***ING GO IRISH!!!
If Lamar Jackson blows up for 600 yards against FSU, give him the Heisman.
Dude is awesome. I've seen some weapons on offense, but he's one of the best so far.
You sure he didn't mean "Finally *GOT* to visit South Bend"?
I thought I saw a tweet from someone that he was in the house for Nevada.
Dantonio is BK's bitch.
Can't wait to see EQ and Torii make that press man-coverage look like a bag of asses.
Tommy Rees did it, DeShone gon' do it.

I don't worry about Studstill as much as I do Tranquill/Sebastian.

And they'll play a lot because they are - theoretically at least - good run defenders.
Need a big night for the linebackers. If we run Coney, Morgan and Onwualu out there I like our odds.
Corner though. Can Coleman tackle better than he covers?
I like EQ but I am not at all confident he is physical enough to beat press coverage yet.

Not only is DeShone better than Tommy in basically every respect at this point (and I'm gonna fight the IE orthodoxy and say Tommy was a half decent QB in 2013), but I think the WR corp is a step up from 2013. The only member of that year's WR corp that would be a starter this year is TJ Jones. RB's are definitely better this year too.
