No way we are better without KVR...he was supposed to shut down a lineup of Biletnikoff award watch-listers for us. The other three are replaceable and the season is not lost....3pm can't come fast enough.

I've been hearing the phrase "vacating wins" but haven't actually heard why that would happen. It would have to be some sort of cover up. Hope it's not true.

I don't know shit, and I'm just speculating, but is it possible that there might be "worries" about other things, and ND is booting these bros and potentially "vacating" wins in order to get out in front of it, much like Miami (FL) and their self-imposed bowl bans?

Then prepare for Duke results. CFB is dirty and cutthroat. Values aren't rewarded today. I might be getting too negative. But college football isn't made for Notre Dame if this is how we want to operate. Kids today, and their parents for that matter, don't give a shit about values. It's all talk.

I don't think anyone should post her name, but let's not conflate this in anyway with some kind of sexual assualt situation where there is a victim! If the rumors are true, all five of them sounds like they knew what they were doing.

I've brought this up a few times here in discussions about the "Power-5", new post-season, etc... I don't see how ND can both remain competitive with such mercenary programs and retain its integrity in the long-term. We'll either have to sell-out, or resign ourselves to a lower level of competition (hopefully in a conference with like-minded schools).

I agree with you. But do we really need to be that good, at one spot with three guys almost as good ready to step in, and a coaching staff that can make adjustments for that?

I agree looking back, that Kelly's press conference the other day, with the Golson news is more media management. It has all of the signs. Great news, ND qb announced, big media event. Look at rising underclassmen, especially at the same positions as some of these guys. Kelly was not happy with IWilliams. Kelly hasn't said boo about DD all camp. Made excuses for him not contributing. Of course, not a word about KMoore.

The outlier was that Kelly named KRussel and CRiggs starting cornerbacks!

I disagree completely. Stanford is able to compete with high academic standards and not letting everyone in. It all depends on the fit of the kid at the school. I would rather catch this then have it come up later.

Vacating wins is quite confusing to me. The only people on campus that the University administration takes ownership for working with student athletes on essays is the University's writing center (I think they are the only people -- Accademic Services for Student Athletes is supposed to refer people with papers to the Writing Center). So vacating wins would mean that the person worked there and then it got covered up. I've been working there for the past two years (including 2012) and I have not heard a peep about this. I'm guessing this is a deal where she made the deal with one of the players and word spread.. I can't imagine that this happened and then would be covered up at the writing center; we are so closely monitored and the center director values academic honesty and would shut this sort of thing down. Plus I don't remember anyone with those initials ever working there...

Notre Dame will always and forever be my number one...

But if you guys want to join me in also caring about UC football, I'll allow it.

An extremely fun offense to watch, coached by the Riverboat Gambler himself, with tons of good athletes, gonna be lead by a decent QB none of you have heard of, and NONE of the pressure that you feel when watching ND. AND you don't have to worry about when the next terrible thing is going to happen.
