I fondly remember a she who once said, "It's not how long you make it, it's how you make it long!"

She told me the same thing.... Wait...

Hey! What's going on here!

This is the first interview I've seen with Amir and I've come away extremely impressed. He is well spoken with a fantastic approach to everything.

I don't doubt that. I just wonder if he can stay healthy for a full season.

We will see I have been preaching about this guy for two years, overall in terms of tools I think he has the best on the team. He just has a different gear.

.... That time I got ripped for saying he would be the feature back and Bryant is likely to RS

GA3 had how many attempts last year as a "3Rd" back? Bryant will not be rushed into the lineup when there's no need

Just don't see it... He won't be needed on ST like Atkinson was, we have depth at RB, and RB requires more than run right/Run left

I will give you all of my vbucks if he red shirts. I guarantee he doesn't if he is healthy

If he redshirts, I'll give you all of my vbucks and then you can give them to the other guy. He's not redshirting.

Exactly, if he's 3, then I fail to see the value in getting 4 touches A game... I do see value in having 4 years of getting 12+ per game

I see value in putting the best players on the field, not the bench.

That's like saying why waste a year of Jaylon Smith's eligabilty when he might only play on passing downs? Because you want the best athletes on the field

There's more value in giving the top 2 an extra Two attempts or allowing Cam/Will the Four plays so Bryant can save a year.... Unless hE jumps one of the starters or there's an injury

If Bryant is has good as he is supposed to be he isn't sticking around for 5 years anyways...

If Bryant continues to improve in pass pro, he's going to play a lot of football by the end of the season.

He looked good blocking Jaylon and other studs in the Army game, but we'll see how he does blocking veteran linebackers when he arrives in the summer. If he can do it, BK will get him on the field.

Maybe so but were still talking about what amounts to 4 attempts this year if last season is any indicator of what a system with 2 feature backs means for a 3rd guy.... But back to Amir

Something to keep in mind and I bring this up quite frequently, it's important to keep talent like Bryant engaged in the process. Sometimes I think that may mean giving him 3-4 reps/game. Or you run the risk of losing some of these kids. I also agree with STL, we just saw Cierre walk after 4. If Bryant is that good what makes u think he'd stay for 4?

You don't RS based on whose staying 3-4 years... You can't predict the future, maybe his sr year he suffers an injury or has an ok year of production, where he doesn't necessarily scream 1st or 2nd day selection, and it's better he comes back for a year... If he was a sr you just crushed any chance of making his stock stronger because you decided it was ok to give him 4 attempts a game as a freshman...

You can't base how many carries Bryant will get based off of how many GA3 got last year. GA was backing up two proven starting RBs. Bryant will be backing up no proven RBs. There is a reason he's a 5 star RB. If he deserves to get the carries, he'll get the carries. Simple as that.

Sigh, these are all the same arguments hashed out before... I get he's a 5 star, freak, and incredibly gifted, but unless he jumps one of the two, it's not happening. Not enough offensive plays to get everyone the ball. It was a consensus that Amir is the feature back, BK said GA 3 needed to get more touches and is looking like a complete back; where do you exactly see Bryant getting any kind of significant touches that are worth burning a year? You think he's going to be a Keith Marshall and get 100+ as a freshman? Only way that happens is if he jumps someone on the depth chart. This isn't a hard concept, it's just not enough to feed 3 backs, someone has to be the odd man out, so who is it?

Edit/add: in 2012 we had a 3 back system with GA getting 50 touches... In 2009 we had a 3 back system with Cierre/Armando/Hughes, with Hughes touching about 5 times a game... Really don't think I'm far-fetched in saying Bryant RS if he's getting 4-5 touches a game

Nope, you play them. However, 5 stars do not always pan out as some are average or total busts. Don't think that will happen here but one never knows. Looking forward to the best players playing.
