Mayweather is scum. It's a shame that he's as good as he is at defensive boxing, because there is no one on earth that deserves a beating more than that guy.

It's crazy that one of the most valuable athletes on the planet is also a serial woman-beater, and that his value isn't affected at all by that (if anything, it's inflated, because everyone tunes in to see if he's going to get what he deserves finally).

Honestly Ronda is the only fighter I know right now for UFC.

I used to watch UFC back with Dan 'The Beast' Severn, Joyce Gracie, and Ken Shamrock dominated. I remember that epic fight with Joyce Gracie and Ken Shmrock which was basically stalemates after stalemates and Joyce kicking Shamrock in the back with his heel. (I was a college wrestler) Back when fighters could wear boxing gloves and sumo wrestlers fought boxers and Big John made his mark and his famous a line. I stopped watching because it went to too much stand up and rule changes. You know, back when guys could wear a gi and suffocate their opponent with it. Back when Joyce Gracie would not tap out even when his arm was bent backwards. I loved the tournament style where fighters fought multiple times in one night.

I haven't watched a UFC fight since Joyce Gracie retired since he was easily my favorite fighter. I was a fan of the UFC where different styles fought each other. When a sumo wrestler went up against at a kick boxer and got smashed.

No, like Manny Pacquiao and many many other fighters, use Mayweather's name to get more exposure to casual fans. It is not a knock on her, but that is an old marketing trick and fighters should be doing it. Pacquiao did it for years and years to gain popularity because Mayweather is a huge icon, whether trash or not.

I completely agree with that. It's safer for them to do a remake than invest in a new idea that has the potential to flop. It's certainly unfortunate, and a major reason I don't go to see as many movies as I did. I just wanted to defend Rowdy. She represented the nation at the Olympics and seems to act like a model professional and human being at all times. I don't buy into "she could kick the shit out of everyone" that gets thrown around, but I like what she's about and how she handles herself.

She's an MMC fighter who is popular at the moment. I don't care one way or the other about her, but she knows she is in a very narrow opportunity and her 15 minutes of fame is now. Agree. This is a case where you have a personality people are pitching ideas to capitalize upon...lets face it, she is talented in some ways but acting roles that can support her aren't exactly plentiful. As well its easier to sell a producer on a vision thats already worked...thus, the remake. I guess it makes perfect sense to me how this would happen...but for we 80s children, this is a bitter pill.
