Well it's a good thing that the team can at least fall back on the running ga-oh wait.
EDITED:
NCS's rushing stats do look better than the UNC's stats I had incorrectly posted. I still don't see a problem for ND.
ND's OLine has been inconsistent with three new starters. I commented on that before the Texas game that we were replacing a couple of NFL players and a retiring upperclassmen. We were losing a lot of career start, "chemistry", and despite the talent of the replacements it would take a couple of games to develop. I specifically noted that the Texas OLine which we were ridiculing had more career starts on the field than we did.
EDITED:
Many of Kizer's sacks and the ND RBs TFLs were due to miscues by the OLine particularly in the center. Then in the Syracuse game McGovern limped of the field early in the game and never returned. Hunter Bivins subbed in at RG and was beaten badly on several plays. The defender facing him used a swim move and Hunter was attempting to block a body already past him. He looked like a rookie out there and I saw at least 3 TFLs/Sacks due to his man going unblocked. McGovern is supposed to be back according to Kelly's PC.

And what makes you think Kizer can't throw the ball in a 1/4 inch of rain over a 12 hour period.
The causal fans recall the bombs but Kizer has used the entire width of the field: Left, Center, and Right.
As well as the depth of the field: Short, Middle, and Long.
He also has hit as many as 10 different receivers in a game: WRs, TEs, and RBs, Seniors through true Freshman.
