That was Temple's 6th sack.... And they got it with a 2 man rush. PSU couldn't block two guys with a 5 man front. Whoa...

So, uh, how good is Temple?

I'm sure that Mike Gibson blogger is calling for Temple to run the table now.

"Did you see the way our Owls dismantled Penn State?! That's the same Penn State that took the Buckeyes to overtime last year, and they ended up national champions! Temple Owls are a lock for the playoff."

There is no doubt Temple will score 21-ish points against the Irish, but - Irish will score 30-ish against Temple. Bring that blitz like that and Zaire will have 100+ rushing yards

I really hope we raid their class. I wish we could pull their top DE, RB or OL. They'd be great additions.

I mean the two schools that we poach players off of more than perhaps any are Stanford and Penn State, both look to be in the crapper. Fingers crossed.

Who have we poached from Stanford recently? I feel like we've lost a lot of head-to-heads with them past few years.

A couple months back I remember reading that Shane Simmons was still in regular contact with our staff and a visit at some point was being discussed but nothing came of it. That'd be a guy worth looking at.

I think we'll get a better answer on Saturday night when Temple plays at UC.

New Nippert was sold out and jumping on Saturday night via all reports (I skipped the game to watch ND dismantle Texas), and that was for a game against Alabama A&M lol, so I expect the atmosphere to be just as good this weekend considering Temple's win over PSU.

UC has one of the better/deeper WR groups in the country and a consistently underrated OL, so if Temple has defensive success against the pass and can pressure Gunner Kiel, it will be safe to say that Temple is actually pretty good defensively.

UC's defense is still a work in progress, but they have talent sprinkled at all three levels, so we won't learn much about Temple's offense unless they really struggle, which would mean their offense isn't that great.

PSU's schedule might be more pathetic than OSU's, and I didn't think that was possible. How these teams get away with these schedules is ridic. I hope the playoff committee is paying attention.

Temple winning is GREAT for us --- one less team for outsiders to gripe at us about scheduling.

Temple has five more winnable games before they play us. I sincerely hope they lose a few, because a top-25 matchup (and thus a likely 8:00 kickoff) would be most inconvenient.

Thats why this loss is so epic for those turds. They basically had themselves penciled in as a 10 win team and it only took week one for the collapse to begin.

And we wouldn't want to strengthen our schedule at the cost of your convenience...

HIGHLY doubt temple would have an 8pm game ....don't see it any later than 330pm
