They're 2.5 underdogs this Thursday at home against UNC. Who is also 6-1 and could very easily be 7-0. Would be huge for us if they could get this win and in the Committee rankings next week for our game.

Boyd is a legit pro prospect. Beyond him I didn't see much to get worried about.

I am banking on Pitt having ACC title hopes distracting them from this game instead of the usual super bowl mentality. They ALWAYS play up for us, and get a big home field/ref advantage. No way ND overlooks these guys. Much more likely we overlook Temple this week.

Noon Kickoff, just announced. Interesting with both teams possibly being highly ranked if both win this week.

I hate noon kickoffs. Greater chance that ND starts slow. Even if both teams start slow, it still benefits Pitt.

I like 3:30 or later lol.

Narduzzi is former Spartan...always played us hard...don't think he'll look past us

Makes sense. Too many great games that weekend to compete with on TV.

BK is not a fan of the noon kickoffs....hope we don't come out slow.

This also means we have back-to-back weeks of being THE game on TV when we play. Can't sh!t the bed with the whole Committee watching us.

I don't think he will either, however winning the ACC has to be a bigger target than us (for a change!)

Pitt is Pitt and will play us hard and close. I've already made peace with the fact that this game is going to give me a heart attack.

I concur. The last half of this schedule, sans WF, will most likely give most ND fans heart attacks. Temple may be a fraud to some, but they're not going to roll over. They have a lot of experience on that team. BC isn't just BC this year. They'll roll out one of the best defenses in college football against ND. They always give ND fits, but it'll be worse this year. You can count on that. Pitt always takes ND to the wire. And then there's Stanford.

I've basically accepted that I'll be chasing my Tums with a bottle of scotch during each of these games.

FSU/Clemson is at 3:30 this week so that would have been pretty big TV competition.

I like watching the noon game.. Wake up, make a nice breakfast and enjoy the victory.. then I can relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

However, when a team plays almost all night games and 3:30 games. Noon is going to be a huge adjustment. Has me worried

This was expected. The Steelers are home at 1:00 the next day so this was never going to be a night game.

If this was any team other than one wearing Pitt jerseys, I'd say we win by a big bunch. Pitt's own fans don't think that their offense is any good, and particularly their OLine. Everyone is bragging on their defense, but they've played the number 51, 67, 80, 95, 96, and 111 in the nation so far, plus YTown. UNC is ranked 24th, so we'll see about that. {plus they got VA and GT a couple of weeks after we'd ground on them for four quarters.}

How'd they hang with Iowa?

I went to the game in 2013. That was a night game and the Steelers played the next day.

The gameplan seems simple: put 5 guys on Boyd.

Btw, their offense looks like it is running in quicksand. They are very slow.

Agree. Stop Boyd and you stop Pitt. Not digging the "Pink Pitt". Serious question, why does breast cancer get all the attention? I think it's great but man, with so many other cancer killers out there you would think some other form might get the same attention. No need to respond...don't want to derail the thread.

I'll respond: to sell women's apparel. The NFL's "campaign" for breast cancer awareness is the most insincere cash grab ever.

They're not very good. Not that's a shock when you look at their wins. Hoping they can somehow pull this out.

So I think they're might be 70 people at this game.

Unless a lot of fans came dressed as an empty yellow seat. I'm going to the Pitt/ND game and hoping it's a little more electric than it is tonight. Does Pitt even have a band? Haven't heard them yet.

This same stadium will be sold out vs. ND (it is Thursday night.. but still).

Pitt sure does churn out top NFL players but this has to be a major recruiting ding.

After watching Temple last Thursday and Pitt this week, If ND comes out focused they should win each game by 21.

After viewing that "4th Quarter Party" my distaste for all things Pitt has grown exponentially.

Looks like North Carolina is going to win, they're going to finish the regular season 11-1 and they aren't even ranked at the end of October.

at Pitt

vs Duke
vs Miami
at Virginia Tech
at North Carolina State
