It at least raises the question of what Book can do with a real OC.

I don't believe that/ If that's a rumor.
If anything, Kelly worked with the Offensive staff more this week than any other year, in the history of him coaching against Navy.

Joe never had a day like that at ND. He never had more than 9 TDs in a season. Book threw 10 in the past two weeks.

Careerwise Montana only threw 25 TDs along with 25 INTs.

Book's thrown 49 TDs with 17 Ints.

I was able to lock it in at Navy +10. There is no earthly reason for ND to be favored in this game, Navy is the better team.

Unless Clark Lea and his boys turn in a masterpiece I did not see ND winning. If ND does win, it’s gonna be a one possession game. Free money.

I think assuming? Maybe Long is coaching for that Memphis job now.

Maybe the play calls are different but to me the biggest difference is that Book just looks more confident in the pocket the last couple weeks. Even when Navy was bringing pressure, he stayed in and made good reads and good throws, didn't do that bailout roll thing but scrambled when he needed to.
Maybe that's because Navy and Duke don't quite have the athletes that Michigan and USC and Georgia do. But it's a noticeable difference.

I’ve watched them play multiple times this year and they are nowhere close to as bad as we made them look. Great play calling, great execution. Book was throwing dimes all day and Claypool is a beast.

1. Khalid Kareem --- won the game with his turnovers early;
2. Ian Book --- just really good, really, really good; and,
3. Tony Jones --- the best blitz pick-up blocking I've seen for many games. Gave Ian the chances to kill those passes.

I could have given awards to Claypool of course, and Finke (not his fault that he gets dumb blocking on his touchdowns), the Hinish-MTA Wall, etc etc, but I don't think I'm supposed to award the entire team --- though they pretty much deserved it.

I have to agree with all of this.
It's ashame Finke's punt gets called back on a frivolous block that had no impact on the play whatsoever... One time I agreed with Flutie's perspective.
Kid can't catch a break.
