Yeah, guys I'm showing you all of this cool stuff to get you even more hyped for Saturday. Second most important part is repping me, you ungrateful jerks

Meanwhile on Page 1 of the thread:

Kind of a dumb thing, but Miami now holds the CFB title belt which was previously held by TCU - Arkansas - Texas A&M - Alabama - Clemson - Syracuse.

Assuming that Miami goes undefeated until then, ND will have an opportunity to take it on Nov. 11th. (Regardless of the outcome of the NC State or Wake Forest game).

Yeah they should rep the guy who brought all this to the boards attention...

So, I want these next 3 games bad - obviously - as I hate Miami, Navy (was in the Air Force) though I ironically just accepted a position with them overseas, and coach Shaw with all his whining on the sidelines. I feel like this year is one to rectify all of those demons and bad feelings from last year, and a playoff berth is the only remedy.

I tried for the Imperialism description, but I've gotta spread the love, and no one else is earning reps to make that happen.

This is a legit problem for me too. I would love to rep people but the quality of posting is poor lately. That's saying something coming from me as a very terrible poster.

Yeah, I really shouldn't say anything, as I've not been contributing much. IE is really quiet compared to 2015

I still just shake my head at them crying over the 80s teams being nick named "convicts" like it's some fully unjustified deep wound that just so over teh top and hurtful... bitch please. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, cries when it's called a duck... shut up.

No one is calling them convicts today, so yeah.

If we win the toss, do you take the ball or defer?

I think I defer. I like our defense against their offense more than I like our offense against their defense. I think the opening drive can set the tone for both side's offense/defense for the rest of the quarter.

On offense, do you go tempo to keep them from subbing and try to wear down their mammoth DTs?

I've always preferred defering on the road...too many 3-and-outs to start off a big game...

Whoa, heavy.

I was just messing with the collective board haha.

I think quality has been just fine, if not lacking "excitement."

The best debates and drama happen when ND sucks... when things are going well, there's less to vent and more to agree about, which decreases both post-count and tension.

Exactly! It’s good for our collective health lol.

I would defer. UMs offense isn't that great, they don't run the ball all that well and the QB is only completing 50% of his throws and you can always count on him to throw 1 or 2picks in a game. go into halftime with the lead and come out in the second half and punch one in the endzone and see how they react.

NDs defense should have more success against UMs offense than UMs defense will have against NDs offense.

My priest has invited me to watch at a party he's throwing for the game. Wonderful

Honestly wiz, why would you even link that trash? This Tinsley guy is moronic, lacking any sort of respect in the article. That last line is particularly disgusting

Do you mean this as a good or bad thing? For me, I could never watch this type of game with my priest. My language, my copious drinking, etc would be more than embarrassing.

But I hope it’s a good thing for you, as we could use the good vibes.

It was this or probably watch by myself or host another guy. My priest is pretty strong willed, so if he asks you to be someplace (to watch the ND game no less), you go. Plus, the rectory is pretty swanky, and he's got a good wine selection. Terrible beer though. I shit you not, he still had a SN Torpedo in his fridge that I brought for the Bama/Clemson championship game in January.

While there are some Miami fans that seem concerned about our run game and O line, they seem to be way in the minority. Also, they constantly bring up that WF got 37 on us, but no one says that UGA is the only other team that made it as high as 20. The other common refrain is that they should load the box and let BW try to beat you with his arm. Like that isn't how everyone else has been trying to do that to us.

I know its not the coaches, but it really is interesting how few of their fans seem to even be concerned about this game and are just trying to figure out how lopsided their win will be.

Personally, I think we could lose this one if we don't concentrate and work hard and be consistent. But I am optimistic that we will win because for the most part we have been concentrating on what we are supposed to be doing and have had a lot of consistency and growth over the season as we got more and more used to both of our new coordinators and their schemes as well as our starting QB grow over the year as he has gotten more and more starts and snaps. If we don't give into the hype and continue to grind and grit our way thru, I think we win by about 10 points.
