Nick Setta: I understand that Koonja was a huge greg bryant fan but in all honesty someone just coming to this board seeing Free Koon and then a picture of greg may not understand the reasoning behind it and could easily infer this as calling greg a racist name...imo i would switch it out

I was at Illinois for Gilmore's first year there and he instantly turned his unit around. His guys loved him, he recruited at least his position group relatively well for a horrible football school, but more than that he churned out draft picks and developed players on that line consistently. I was pissed that Illinois let him go, but who wouldn't flee the Tim Beckman nightmare.

Great hire if it is indeed going to happen.

Great mix of young and old on the staff. Need the younger, energetic recruiters like Sanford, Lyght, and Denson. Sounds like Gilmore will be a good hire. He needs to recruit the DLine like Harry has on OLine.

I was wondering the same exact thing. Is Nick Setta actaully Nicholas Setta? Are there any other known ex-players on IE?

Just curious.

The IE Nick Setta lists his location as "the 614". 614 is the area code for a large chunk of Central Ohio, including Columbus.

The real Nick Setta runs a sports performance business, SETTAPERFORMANCE, in Lockport Township, Ill. I'd be very skeptical, if I were you.

his registered user is Ulukinatme and he recently changed it to the english YouLookinAtMe. Must be something in the website coding to pull original username on quotes.

EDIT: Or he changed it back. :S

Yeah, this. I changed it to "YouLookinAtMe" because ulukinatme is too confusing for some, even if it's been explained in the past :laugh: It was a psychological experiment to see if people might equate my avatar to "YouLookinAtMe" after I changed it back. It looks like I've just caused more confusion.

I have avatars turned off, so I couldn't have participated in your study. I do hate the username changes, but urs I said the same either way so it never bothered me.

Re: no avatars - Not fun explaining I was actually reading a fb forum and not porn. (This is not me complaining about some avatars, I love them, just not worth the work trouble)

He's changed his name here a few times. Nick Setta is just his latest.

About 3 years ago, he was the speed coach of one of my (former) students. Great guy, and my student used to rave about him.
