It's been a long time(forever?) since we have had a post game thread this laid back.

If guys wear socks (or underwear) is serious shit and analysis, with far reaching implications, dude!

Only thing that would make this post game thread better is if we started sharing recipes...

Wooly's Special - Tiny Trojan Balls

Ingredients
6 to 8 large jalapeño peppers, cut in half lengthwise, seeds and ribs removed
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened, warm
2 pounds spicy breakfast sausage, formed into 12 to 16 patties
1 pound bacon, sliced thin
1 stick (¼ pound) butter, melted

Cooking Directions

If you're using a grill, heat it to medium. If not, heat the oven to 400ºF. Fill each jalapeño half with cream cheese. Mold sausage around each jalapeño half, making sure to cover the entire jalapeño. Wrap each "Tiny Trojan Ball" with a slice of bacon.

Cook the tiny Trojan balls on an open grill until the sausage is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. If you don't have an outdoor grill, bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, then broil until the bacon is crispy.

Remove the Tiny Trojan Balls from the grill or oven and cover with melted butter.

Proceed to destroy the Tiny Trojan Balls without mercy.

I call this The Ol' Toilet Wrecker

1 jar of HEB queso
2 Jalapenos
1 lb of ground beef (80% lean max)

Step 1. Dice the jalapenos, no need to remove the seeds.
Step 2. Brown the ground beef, do not drain grease.
Step 3. Add the jalapenos to the ground beef.
Step 4. Heat up the queso in a microwaveable safe dish.
Step 5. Dump the beef & peppers into the queso, eat from the dish if alone. If not, have chips for your friends and share.
Step 6. 15 minutes after your friends dig in, mention that your toilet is broken and they can't use it.

What comes out of your behind is the Trojan's offensive performance this past Saturday.

Yet in spite of that, SC is still the odds on favorite to play in the Pac 12 Championship game and could easily play in the Rose Bowl.

Gotta love life in a conference.

Remove the Tiny Trojan Balls from the grill or oven and cover with melted butter.

This sounds like heart problems waiting to happen and I am here for it.

Gonna make these on Saturday.

Can that name be co-opted to "Wolf Balls"?

I am able to wear flip flops 325 days out of the year. Just saying.....:)

Wearing business formal attire and flip flops is only mildy frowned upon and deemed as a personal quirk rather than a fashion faux pas.

Thank you for spelling out flip flops. People call that class of footwear "thongs"...and it always makes me jump. No offense but any dude in a thong, regardless of physique is ... frightening. And unfortunately context of sentence isn't real helpfully because anywhere you could wear flip flops 325, you could wear thongs...yes?

Come to Hawaii, we'll give you those additional 40 days.

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable anymore in this thread with the talk being about dudes swallowing down on balls

They make a throwaway point in there about how we'd be undefeated on long grass and I actually think they're on to something. It was extremely short sighted to go to turf based on the premise that we wanted to run Kelly's Cincinnati offense. Given our recruiting strengths, it's much more likely that we're the bigger and stronger team than the quicker and faster one. Going to turf wasn't just a bad aesthetic decision, it was a bad football decision as well. #HotTakes

Counterpoint: tactical considerations were at best secondary. They want to use the field for lots of other stuff during the year, and our grass was consistently garbage by the end of year given South Bend's climate; and that was mostly just with football use. Can't do all the other stuff they're currently doing in the stadium without turf.

What do they actually do IN the stadium? Crossroads added buildings ATTACHED to the stadium but that has nothing to do with the actual playing surface. Same with graduation. They cover the whole field with tile-like things so the grass doesn't matter.

I was told that they would eventually have concerts in the stadium and other events.

BFD. Fenway Park has concerts and rugby matches and 80+ baseball games a year in the same(ish) climate as South Bend. They're doing multiple football games a year now too.

Still pumped from Saturday’s game. What a performance from the Irish. Regardless of what happens the rest of the year,I love the way the team bounced back this year. Every game you can see their confidence grow.

People will never travel to SB for anything but ND football/Sports. Concerts would for locals/students IMO. I'd travel for one, but that's because I'm an ND homer.

It's frustrating too... it's not like it's all new players from the group that couldn't take anyone in open space the last two years...

Boston-9th largest market
SB/Elkhart-96th largest market

Comparing the two is like comparing Quiet Riot to the Beatles, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT?????

Quiet Riot has played more state fairs than the Beatles!!!!

Steelhead, what on Earth are you talking about? I'm not saying that ND Stadium can, should, or will host major concerts. I'm just pointing out that they could have kept natural grass and still used the stadium for whatever they want. I'm commenting on grass versus artifical turf, not South Bend versus Boston.

Neither of us knows enough about maintaining these sorts of fields to state categorically what ND could or could not have done. Do you disagree that, prior to making the switch, our field was consistently garbage by the end of the season? Perhaps we were employing the BVG of groundskeepers, and a more competent team could have made natural grass work. More likely, Swarbrick and company have forgotten more about the subject than we know, and they decided that turf checked more boxes for us than natural grass.

I do disagree. The only time I recall it looking like "garbage" was the very last spring game, at which point they had clearly let it go.

Sure, and I think the biggest box was "Kelly wants turf."

I don't understand how anyone can look at the new turf and not immediately like it better than the grass, which was often at 80% at best after september.

Auto-tune, new leather, dyed hair, The Hobbit in 48 FPS, It's a Wonderful Life in color, fake boobs. "Better" isn't always an upgrade. I cringe every time I see those black beads flying out of that carpet. Give me mud and grass stains.
