Denson, Ferguson, Pinkett............The best of the best, but I don't remember any of these three having so many big runs. Adams will be joining these guys in ND's "best of the best" RB club when it's all said and done.

Wimbush is getting better every game. I think missing the one game and having to watch from the sidelines may have benefited him as he could watch and process.

Me neither. Fairly certain he is like # 4 all time rushing yards in a single season (?) presently. Probably high on all time yards as well. I know he beating Gip's record ypc average so far. Crazy.

The one thing that really bothered me is that we didn't attempt to punch it in from five yards out on the last drive. We don't know whether the committee looks at any of the efficiency metrics or computer rankings, and an extra touchdown always helps.

Typical ESPNish bs.

I never wish bad on opposing player. I don’t celebrate injuries or any of that...

But when you watch that game, regardless of what the injury was, a lot of hit has to do with us being more physical than they were. We punished them all night after that punt block.

We cut their DLs down with some wicked reach blocks. Bars had one, and then I believe McGlinchey had one on the goalline. In think those are the two guys that got hurt. I'm never a fan of reach/cut blocks from the side, since you can really hurt a guy with those. Still, it's not a dirty play until you cut and roll, just like the Denver Broncos used to do.

Nelson was crushing people, all day. He plays like Zack Martin currently does. When I was watching the Dallas-Washington game, today, Martin was steamrolling guys.

To Ben honest I was pissed they took a knee

They should have tried to get EQ or preferably Mack a touch down.

Edit: Maybe not so much Mack given his state of health at the time.

I believe he's 3rd behind Ferguson, WIS, and Lurry, NIU.

Loveand 4 others have run all their picks for TDs, 2 each

NC State will likely lose 2 more games this year. They have made so many excuses about their loss and it trickles down from the head coach.

These aren't men who own it when they get bested and that doesn't bode well for winning. I wonder if they actually went back and watched the tape?

NCSt is a bunch of b!tches.

Well guys, I'm glad you all were right. That DL had me scared going into that game. ND just straight dominated, again. I would've loved to see some style points on that last drive. Just gut the F'ers after all the trash going on before and during the game.

That offensive game plan beats GA, no question.

ND is damn good and it's a crazy weird feeling for me because it's not 2012 good, it's far better. I'm expecting anywhere from 3-5 when rankings come out.

Mack never came back in did he? When he got up wobbly, I automatically thought concussion protocol. Any reports on him?

I don't know if it's been said but I'm really starting to love Mike Tirico on the call. His call in Loves int and Adams long td are great to listen to. Hell he has even called out Flutie twice!

Going into this game I had a lot of confidence that NCState would be able to beat Clemson. I don't think so now. I am fairly certain that ND just broke NCState.

As much as this may work against NC State:

- Clemson just saw ND (who Clemson believes they're better than, let's be real) roll NC State. Doesn't mean it automatically happens, but that's a recipe for coming out flat.

- Game is at NC State

- This is still potentially their best season in how long? They still have a lot to play for considering.

- It's at home.

- Clemson just had to play G.Tech's option offense. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it makes it a unique week.

I believe I read that NC State hasn't won the conference since 79, and the Wolfpack is still very much in play to win the division and play for the conference.

I think they could beat Clemson. Syracuse demonstrated a way to do it. They contained Kelly Bryant and got some pressure on him as well. He wasn't comfortable in the pocket and didn't make his throws. I know he got hurt eventually but it wouldn't have mattered. Syracuse was winning that game.

NC State will need to put up some points obviously, but they have the capability to do that. If Finley is hot, and they learn from the ND beatdown how to handle press coverage, they have a shot.

Any word on NC State's runningback that got hurt? Will he be back for Clemson?

X rays were negative, it was an ankle sprain. Sounds like they tried to loosen it up and he couldn’t. The cold probably didn’t help. I’d expect him back.

USC bounced back and drilled ASU. NC State can bounce back and give Clemson a tough game, at least.
Early in our game they showed the ability to stuff the run and get after the QB, before we wore them down. And our O Line is better than Clemson's.
Their passing game doesn't suck, and I think their RB getting hurt made them one dimensional. If he's healthy, hopefully they can move the ball.
And sure as shit their entire offensive line won't freeze on a snap again, and if they do, Finley will throw it away a little farther.
Rooting hard for the Pack and the Canes on Saturday. An ACC title game between NC State and Miami would be a huge win for us.

Any word on the two DL that were also hurt?

I wish there was another game between the ND game and the Clemson game for them. The injuries are just part of what I was talking about though. The whole excuse making that came immediately after the game doesn't bode well for a team that needs to immediately turn around and play the biggest game of the season(or ever).

The most serious injury, per Kelly, to come out of the N.C. State game for the Irish was tight end Alizé Mack’s concussion. Kelly said the junior is going through the concussion protocol, so his status for Saturday’s Wake Forest game is unknown.

The same goes for running back Tony Jones Jr., who suffered a hip pointer in the game. He has been battling a chronic ankle injury for most of the season.

Expected to play against Wake are starting defensive tackle Jonathan Bonner (ankle sprain), starting middle linebacker Nyles Morgan (he aggravated a chronic shoulder injury) and starting quarterback Brandon Wimbush (ankle sprain).

"Mild, checked in today, felt good," Kelly said of the Wimbush injury. "He'll enter (Monday’s) workout with no restrictions."

Watch the video highlights on the front page, and pay attention to the pick 6 at the 2:10 mark. The O line never moved after the center snapped the ball. The QB got flushed and threw a pass he should've just thrown away. I heard that prior to that series, the O Line coach heard the QB complaining that he wasn't getting protection and told the O line to let the QB basically fend for himself (not thinking he'd be dumb enough to throw into coverage like he did) to see what a lack of protection really looks like. Not sure if true, but watch the clip and listen to Tirico talk about the line not moving. Classic.

Finley thought we were offsides and he had a free play.

Remember that NC State podcast where the fans dug into ND fans and predicted State to win? Anyone know if they have made one since Saturday?
