Ragnarok and GotG2 marching up in the first round is worst-case scenario for me. They are both in the Final Four if they’re in opposite regions, and GotG2 is the only other film besides Ragnarok that I might consider over Iron Man.

You could easily move GotG2 forward instead of Ragnarok, and it would have won all the ensuing matchups up to the final.

GotG2 is ass.

Your opinions about the entertainment created by your own company are ass.

GotG2 made me cry legit tears of laughter at one point.

Ragnarok is equally as funny, but more fresh, and also a better conflict/resolution.

Iron Man will always be my favorite, though. Not just because it was the OG, but because bachelor Tony Stark is the best Tony Stark.

I think I did it. See if this works.

https://challonge.com/NukesMCU

It's over. I guess I should have used Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB rankings. Oh well.

Round 1
Avengers defeats Iron Man 2
Homecoming over Thor
Iron Man over Iron Man 3
Guardians over Strange
Winter Soldier over Ultron
Ragnarok over GOTG2
Civil War over The First Avenger
Black Panther over Ant-Man

Round 2
Avengers over Homecoming
Guardians over Iron Man (upset)
Winter Soldier over Ragnarok
Civil War over Black Panther

Fantastic 4
Avengers over Guardians
Winter Soldier over Civil War

MCU championship
Captain America: The Winter Soldier defeats The Avengers (upset)

There you have it.

Final results
1. Me since I made it
1a. Connor
2. Gattaca
3. The Wiz
4. Lion
5. Lioness

Funny, that's one of the only Marvel movies i can stand. I'm admittedly a complete sucker for father son storylines in movies though.

Yup. Even though the theme is so overused and cliched, that "Daddy" line at the end is a punch to the gut.

I've heard good things. I really enjoyed "Signs" so I'd be down to see it. Is this theatre worthy?

Some comments were that this movie is so quiet, that if you have a large crowd it gets annoying because you hear so much ambient noise.

I've been on a Clint Eastwood binge lately and am trying to watch all his movies over the next month or so. I've watched A Fist Full Of Dollars and The Outlaw Josey Wales this week and watched the first half of Joe Kidd last night. I'd never seen all of Josey Wales before. Clint has a tendency to shoot some folks.

I love the scene from Fist Full where he tells the coffin maker to get 3 coffins ready, has the "laughing at my mule" discussion with the bad guys, and then has to tell the coffin maker, "My mistake. Four coffins." One of my 10 all-time favorite movie scenes. High Plains Drifter and Pale Rider are up next.

Now we are talking... It baffles my mind that you had never seen all of Josey Wales prior to now. Probably my favorite Eastwood film.

Same here. I thought I'd seen every one of Clint's movies, including JW, but the only bits of it I'd ever seen before were the opening where they killed his family and the scene where he shot the rope to loose the ferry. I really liked it. The old Indian chief was very funny and a great character.

Josey Wales is such a good movie...

Switching gears: The Sandlot is getting all this 25th anniversary love from MLB this year and they are polling players as to their fav baseball movie... I have to chalk it up to everyone being prompted to The Sandlot because it seems like 8/10 major leaguers are naming that as their all time fav baseball flick...

I have never seen the obsession with this film. It's not bad, and has some memorable moments/lines but best baseball movie ever? Yeah I don't get that, it wouldn't even be top five for me. It's just another movie really.
