It's the only part of the movie worth watching; the rest is so bad. I can sit through all of Episodes 2 and 3. I don't see how people can even dispute that Episode 1 is the worst entry in the franchise. Watch it once in full, then skip directly to "Duel of the Fates" on future viewings.

I actually like the trade disputes and politics in Episode I. The awfulness of Jar Jar and the awfulness are Hayden Christiensen are very close in my mind.

The story line of Ep 1 was SOOOO much better than Ep2... Ep 2 was just awful in pretty much every regard imo... I can re watch Ep 1 and not want to kill myself... Ep 2 makes me wish those memory wiping things in Men In Black were an actual thing.

Our daughter is still too young for a random babysitter and we don't have any family close so we usually go the movies when we visit my mother in-law in Collegeville.

Do that, and... Take your cell phone, leave it on all movie and make numerous calls/texts, throw food at the screen when something you don't like happens in the movie, and narrate the whole damned thing out loud and you'll basically be prepared for seeing a movie in a theater near me...

The politics are the only redeeming quality besides Duel of the Fates (and maybe Natalie Portman, but we all know EpI Padme doesn't hold a candle to EpII Padme). I could watch Star Wars politics all day, because it's at least an interesting situation... at least not when it's tainted by JarJar.

(This is also part of the reason I like the ASoIaF books so much... even when they are kind of slow and GRRM is writing page-upon-page of useless details about moss and seasonal allergies, the political maneuvering still just as intriguing as the action scenes.)

Nesson, and no I'll take the OG Padme... At least Ep 1 has a couple redeeming qualities... Ep 2 has only a bunch of CGI explosions that no longer hold up and,... well..................

No, that was supposed to representative of how Windu feels about Christensen trying to act.

Episode II was just really boring I don't remember anything glaringly bad. Episode I is an abomination between the boring ass trade negotiation stuff, Jake Lloyds terrible acting, and Jar Jar. Plus baffling decisions like killing off Maul who should have been around for the whole trilogy, and spending so much time in the god damn Senate.

I don't think the prequel apologists here fully comprehend how terrible the writing for these movies was...

Best two movies of the year IMO are Fury (on Netflix) and Hell or High Water (just saw it. Bank robbery spree movie starting Jeff Bridges as the sherrif)

Just watched. Great flick. Ending was not what I expected.

That was definitely Episode II. Every romantic scene between Anakin and Padme is cringe-inducing.

Their dialogue through out the whole movie is cringworthy. It sucks because Lucas dispersed their scenes to break up the larger movie plot..... so what you get is an interuoting of true star wars scenes with a quick cut to Anakin/Padme suckiness. Also when I watch it Iskip everyone of the scenes with A/P. Doing so makes the movie much more enjoyable. That sand line is enragingly badly written and even more badly delivered.
