You are confusing great actors and your favorite actors.

Ben Foster is my favorite actor, nudging out Michael Shannon. But Foster's got one move = Bad azz / psycho guy... which he nails every time. (Alpha Dogs, 3:10, yada, yada, yada) I mean, who's gonna remember him in the shipwreck movie with Captain Kirk or his work in Six Feet Under??? Ben Foster isn't in the Top 20

In regards to Hell or High water... Loved it. Bridges was on his game. The last scene on the porch with him and Pine was electric. Foster played Foster. Just like Pacino plays Pacino and DeNiro plays DeNiro. Something I find interesting about Bridges: This is at least his 4th mush-mouthed part he's done recently. He did Crazy Heart, True Grit and an unwatchable fantasy movie called Seventh Son. What's up with this trend?

LOL...I noticed that about Bridges as well. Something about not being able to understand half his lines is appealing.

And no, Javier Bardeem is still not #2 great actor. Not on any planet. Sooooo many names in front of him.

Speaking of Ben foster crazy role...check out "30 days of night"...he's only on screen for a short time, but is awesome. And he's great in Lone Survivor and that Chris Stapleton video for Fire away (just to add two "not crazy" roles)

30 Days of Night was one of the few modern horror movies that actually scared me... freaked me out pretty good .

Anyway, on the likability scale thing that was touched upon... I think that's the thing with Daniel Day Lewis with me. I rec that he is other level but so few of his movies are enjoyable to me outside of his performance... and good example is There Will Be Blood,... for my tastes very little about that movie is enjoyable outside of his acting... so I rarely get a movie of his I enjoy (I guess Gangs is a rare exception??) but other great actors out there, like Del Toro... dude, I like many of his films with of without him in it, him being there with his acting abilities is just a huge plus... if that makes sense.

On my planet. I said he's MY #2.

I've seen them both. Lone Survivor is a Bad Azz role for sure. Guns & testosterone. Great story good part, very good performance, good movie. His best work may have been The Messenger. Still an Army drama but not combat. Painful to watch. I've seen those guys on someone's porch before. I can't even imagine what that's like, was haunting to see just driving by.

I'll be honest, I think I've only seen two of Bardeem's movies... Skyfall and No Country... can't think of another movie I've seen him in.

DDL takes me places that I don't normally think I'd enjoy going. My Left Foot, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Age of Innocence as well as places more familiar like Last of the Mohicans, In the Name of the Father, The Boxer and Lincoln, then makes a character eternal like in There Will Be Blood and Gangs of New York. He's simply the best I've ever seen.

Ah, yes, I love Mohicans... how'd I forget that one... honestly though I've either not seen or did not enjoy any of the other films... aside from his performances, which I totally agree with generally speaking.

Eat Pray Love

He was perfecto in Biutiful. One of my favorite movies ever. He was fantastic in The Counsellor, Before Night Falls, The Sea Inside, The Gunman and he's currently doing what I'm hoping will be the definitive work on Pablo Escobar. Been in withdrawals since I finished Narcos.

If you loved him in Sicario then he'd be perfect as La Quica.

I've seen him interviewed numerous times and it's crazy... if you met him on the streets you'd never in a million years suspect.... seems like a guy we'd all love to watch a game with over beer and hot wings.

*** For Clarity I'm talking about Mosquera... not Del Toro... lol

My daughter actually comes in to watch the game with me, and asks questions about football....while my son watches videos on youtube of OTHER KIDS PLAYING WITH TOYS AND OPENING PRESENTS?.

And those vids have like millions of views? I'm in the wrong fucking business.

No more screen time for him

My kid too...and all his buddies and they know these people like they are family members or BFFs for years. Kinda creepy to Dad aged me.

Oh Hey....on topic....I finally saw Batman v Superman

What a joyless, dark, moody flick. I thought I would be COOL, SUPERHEROES, but came out of it depressed as heck. And how they flipped the switch on their relationship...really? WTF

I actually just watched it for the first time this week and you nailed it. Just an awful film. Also Amy Adams looked relatively terrible somehow.

You could put Lewis and Del Toro in lead roles of a comic book movie and I'd still have difficulty wasting time on it. That genre just does nothing for me anymore unfortunately.

Until Kanye West is cast as Black Panther, I'm out too.

btw, it's totally okay for a man to have his fav Disney Princesses once you got little girls running around the house... and not for the time tested, "That Jasmin outfit would look so hot on my girlfriend" reason. I'm def a Merida and Tiana guy, being Scottish-American and all makes that easy, but I def recognize that Belle is THE Princess.

We have six granddaughters. Four are within 2 years of each other. My wife bought them all their own princess dresses. They kept them at our house so they could play in them when they came over. First thing they would do is run upstairs to the play room and put their dresses on. That was three years ago and now that they're 6-8 years old they sill put them on once in a while. They're a bit small and worn now, but they love those things.

Good timing #1! When your youngest is ready for college, ND should be good again and you can convert the playroom into that man cave you've always wanted!

T minus 12 years and counting...

I would pay many monies to see Mads Mikkelsen play Geralt of Rivia on the big screen:

Anyone going to see Rogue One this weekend? The previews look pretty good and I/m interested to see how it ties in with the new Star Wars trilogy

Did you guys watch the standard or extended edition?

I watched the extended edition, and while it was still a bit too disjointed in the beginning, I thought it was okay. Perhaps I just give too much credit for how different they feel than Marvel movies, though.

I watched whatever was on HBO or Showtime. Not sure what edition it was.

I'll see it just because I've seen every "Star Wars" film in a theater. But I'm not that excited about it. I'm concerned that the series is going to get watered down with all off these extended universe movies coming out each year.

I might go see it eventually, but it definitely won't be this weekend. TFA didn't do much for me and I don't see Rogue One being much better.
