Marcus Freeman is unlikely to get offered a pro job and would also be pretty stupid to take a pro job at a bad franchise.

I agree at this point. But we very well could see him be a strong candidate for a pro job in a few years if he continues to excel.

I would be interested in how that negotiation is progressing. If ND does well in the playoffs (wins 2 or more games) then Freeman is going to be in a very strong position to get paid. If ND doesn't get to the playoffs or loses in the first round I would think ND would be in a position to push back and pay him well, but not top tier.

I'm curious which side is looking to delay/accelerate the talks. If Freeman thinks this team is Final Four worthy, you would think he would delay the talks.

I know I have been hard on Freeman although I really do like him and want him to be here a while. I would like to see his extension signed by January 1, 2025.

8 years 10 million a year plus incentives.
