That’s an understatement. Practically everyone we play is better than NIUI agree. And a team that loses to NIU is likely to lose again to someone else (as in 2022).

freeman has a lot to prove the rest of this year. i could see us getting back on the horse and running the table. i can also see us finishing 8-4. i hope marcus freeman coaches like his job depends on it.That’s an understatement. Practically everyone we play is better than NIU
Let’s hope he has the stones to bench underperforming players. Leonard should have had 2-3 series max on offense out the break, and if visibly off, the plug should have been yanked. He was visibly off. Angeli should have played.
Yup. Tell me you're a dei hire without telling me you're a dei hire.
I thought the lack of PA was simply due to Parker?
NIU was a repeat of the Marshall game. Shouldn't have happened in year 3.
If there is a repeat of the Stanford game, MF needs to be fired.
To me, it's as simple as this.
I'm not out on Freeman yet. He's so close, but yesterday has me very very concerned.
I understand going into the game trying to force feed the passing attack, but how do you stick with it to the point of costing the season? The game plan didn't work, but you were still winning, had possession, and running out the clock. Why go aggressive there? You run the ball on second and 1 when you're just trying to get out of the stadium with a win. It's arrogance and a complete failure.
wasn't Jaylon Sneed going to decommit if we didn't hire Freeman? He wasn't a DEI hire but ND has no business hiring a 35 year old assistant coach as their HC.
Brohm or Campbell should have been the hire. Unfortunately we let the players make the hire like Indiana with Mike Davis.
Guy is 0-3 against double digit underdogs at home. Had to recruit duke's sloppy seconds qb. Then there is the play calling blunders like a 62 yard field goal when the opposing team has already blocked a 48 yard attempt in the same direction. He wasn't a DEI hire but ND has no business hiring a 35 year old assistant coach as their HC.

Fire Freeman into the sun
Aren't these sorts of decisions made by the position coach? I understand the head coach should be able to overrule any position coach but I'd imagine he's pretty hands off with the offense
Needless to say, it's unacceptable that Price only got 5 touches
And go to the NFL! That is what they all said Saban does. Put kids in the league.Dumbest fucking post.
Tell me about all the black coaches who have won national titles in college football?
Black players don’t care what color the coach is, they want to win.
I think there's more to it than that- we've had poor QB play and WR talent, nowhere near NFL level. You can't really have much of an offense when your QB sucksThere’s a common theme with the offenses the past 3 years, and it’s Marcus Freeman.

I can't really blame Freeman for going after Hartman and Leonard- in hindsight obviously they haven't become the players they were hyped to be, but they were considered big acquisitions at the time

If this veteran team quits, then that’s on MF.Next week will be the bellwether. If the team gives up on MF and we lose or narrowly beat Purdue it's gonna be a long season. The team wakes up and starts playing their potential..
I was saying the players don’t deserve to have the band play for them.Don’t talk sweet about the band. Only ones with a winning performance on the field today
That is why I never like the "rah rah" type coaches. You saw how he led the team onto the field at A & M like he was about ready to play. The team feeds on it, but in the "lesser games" when he doesn't have that emotion, neither does the team.Unpopular but now a day removed, I am firmly not out on Freeman yet. His biggest problem is winning the easy games. He has this team up for the big games like I have never had an ND coach in my lifetime. Winning the "easy" games is very fixable.
Now, when I say yet, he needs to essentially win out because ND IS more talented than the rest of the schedule. USC will be a tough game, but this goes back to my initial point that he has the team up for the big games. If they don't win that game, then there goes them being "up" for the big games.
10-2 with 1 of the losses being NIU simply isn't good enough in year 3.
Disgusting. Not sure whose fault this is (Freeman, Denbrock, both), but this was also an issue last year so I lean Freeman.

Nailed it. Teams will feed off your vibe. If you're up, they're up. If you're not, they "exhale."That is why I never like the "rah rah" type coaches. Did anyone else notice that it seemed an analyst (some guy on an Ipad) made a critical decision? He came over to Freeman showed him something (my guess analytics) and then Freeman immediately decided to go for it. I know statistics are used tremendously, but c'mon you have to know what to do in all situations as a head coach.
