Relax? What are we doing, getting fan advice from "Frankie goes to Hollywood?"

Y'all remember when a Brent Venables defense gave up 70 in the Orange Bowl? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Nope because Venables didn't coach at Clemson until 2012 lol.
FYI I heard that Clemson gave up 70 because their DC had a seizure/stroke that week and wasn't able to coach, but it was never released to the public
Is this for real? Never heard anything about that. That’s wild!
I wonder how Vanderbilt fans are feeling after their new head coach Lea lost his first game to the East Tennessee State Buccaneers 23-3.
Clark Lea's last three games in 2020....
Syracuse - 229 yards allowed on the ground, overall YPP 6.4
Clemson - 219 yards allowed on the ground, overall YPP 8.2
Alabama - 140 yards allowed on the ground, overall YPP 7.9
FSU 2021 - 264 yards allowed on the ground, overall YPP 6.0
FSU 2020 - 405 yards allowed, 5.7 YPP, 1 TO generated
FSU 2021 - 442 yards allowed, 6.0 YPP, 3 TO generated
People need to relax. It obviously wasn't pretty. But it wasn't catastrophic either.

We were not the only ones perplexed by the 3 man front:

The rumor that is going around right now is that the team was totally gassed and could not deal with the heat/humidity, and the 4th quarter disaster was because of that. I dunno if I understand the logic, but that's the spin being put out through back channels to beat writers.

There’s a poster at 247 that said he saw Jayson A throw up multiple times on the sideline. Didn’t see it myself so can’t confirm but maybe there is something to that.
I don't know if I buy the whole heat & humidity thing. First, South Bend was still hitting highs in the 90s up until about a week before the game. Humidity is obviously higher in Tallahassee than South Bend, but many days this summer it looks like it could only be 10-15% more humidity between the two areas. At kickoff it was 80 and later it dropped to 75. Again, humidity was definitely high that night, but it wasn't midday hot and it wasn't night and day different for our guys like Arizona dry heat vs. swamp heat. I'm pretty sure someone high up the chain commented about all that before the game too.
Im probalby preaching to the wind but no matter what the temperature is if the relative humidity is high (80-100%) then you cant get cool becasue the air cant really absorb any more water vapor (which is how you cool down when you sweat-evaporative cooling). The air mass is full or near full. You cant get cool, you are soaking wet from sweat that isnt going anywhere and I can almost garauntee the field level conditions were not air tempature conditions either. High humidity is oppressive and its like trying to walk through soup. It wears you down.
I just dont care for the changes in the text and forum here about as much as I dont care for Freemans defensive philosophy of over complicated defense they both need fixing although I was very impressed with everything else about the Irish Sat especially team attitude-offense speaks for itself but Freeman will get burned here with this philosophy but he wont care because its just a stopover to a head job somewhere-bad combo
Yeah its glorious when your house is air conditioned and your skin temp is near the house air temp... you walk outside and you are immediately wet becasue water vapor in the air condenses on your cold skin. Then it cant go anywhere becasue the outside air is so humid and hot it cant evaporate. Now you are wet and only going ot get more wet as you sweat. Viscous cylce.I moved from NW Indiana and now live in Central AL and I can certainly echo these thoughts…….I remember thinking it was humid in the summer in IN but it’s nothing compared to what you get here and I’m sure FL is the same or more so. It took me a little while to get used to the heat/humidity in AL, it’s constant sweating as soon as you step outside in the summer.

The air mass is full or near full. IF it was near full adn the temp drops then it becomes full by phsyics. Also to add a persons comfort in indoor or outdoor spaces is throughly connected to RH. My wife loves to leave windoows and screens open (some sick and twisted plot to piss me off) while the A/C is running. I can immediately tell she has done this by the feel of the house. I know what drier a/c cooled feels like and I know what heavy high RH in the same space feels like and its much more uncomfortable becasue the cooling my body experiencees has been altered.
this may need to be moved to the wives thread, but what the actual fuck? lol
Fire Balis. Drink more Gatorade.
All the $$ we spend and we can't get the Gug up to 95% humidity?
We are lucky it wasn't hotter on top of the humidity. Everyone wants to obsess about playing in the cold but don't seem to bat an eye at the southern schools training and playing in 90 degree heat and 90%+ humidity for months on end. I echo Cack's sentiment - large part of the A/C equation in the south is removing moisture which means longer run time with less cooling effect.
I was initially pretty negative on Freeman after/during the game. Still negative on the 3 man front and asking a bunch of DL to play LB. DL was supposed to be our strongest unit and really underperformed expectations dramatically.
Foskey had 8 tackles and 2 sacks. Looking like the future NFL’er he is. Hard for me to be too critical of him. Which made the decision to move to 3 down and move him was so perplexing. He’s looking like a game wrecker, let’s let him keep wrecking the game, lol.
Do you have any idea how many snaps he played?
