Welp when your season has been a dumpster fire compared to the expectations and you have been caught trying to cheat twice, what can a guy do other than try and get his WR to win the Heisman?

@PedroMoura Lane Kiffin said Marqise Lee has practiced on defense this week and could play there on Saturday.

Scott Van Pelt just went off on his radio show about this... said that anyone who has spent time around student managers knows they live in fear of pissing off the head coach and they would never do anything without specific instructions from the coach... also said that he has received dozens of emails from current/former student managers across the country saying the same thing. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think this wasn't directed by a coach... and instead they get some poor nameless/faceless manager to be the fall guy.

SVP went on to talk chronicle all of Lane Kiffin's shadiness, cheating, etc. and say how it doesn't even surprise him... that "some guys are just wired that way." Finally, he closed with asking the hypothetical question "This team was pre-season #1 and is now 6-3... if USC goes out and loses to UCLA and Notre Dame... what do you do if you're Pat Haden?"

I think with 2 more losses he very well might get canned. Which is shocking when you look back to what this season was supposed to be.

The thing I find intersting is to see what happens with is pappa and shirtless Dline coach. Pappa has got to go, but does he can oyyyyy oyyyy oyyy?

How unlucky, the very first time Kiffen tries something the least bit irregular somebody rats him out. Where are the replacement refs when you need them?

Lane Kiffin is the laughing stock of college football. If he didn't have such an uber recruiting class signed up, I'd almost guarantee he'd be fired with 2 more losses to close the season. I think the class he's bringing in buys him 1 more year.

Seriously, he's a freaking embarrassment. If I were Haden, these antics would be awfully troubling to me.

Can you imagine if you were a USC fan? When Weis was pulling in top recruiting classes but he seemed otherwise in over his head, I kept saying be patient, we don't want to throw away a great recruiter until we are sure that he can't be a successful coach here. We did not look like a well-disciplined, well-coached team under Weis, but I said give him time.

But we weren't the circus that USC is now. I think right now I'd want Kiffin gone, number 1 recruiting class be damned.

Where's me9rob? Curious about his thoughts on the state of the program.

Maybe I've just spent too much time doing depositions buuuuuut...

The ESPN article on this contains some quotes from Kiffin and it jumped out at me immediately that his denials of coaching staff involvement weren't really denials.

If he tries this stuff during the course of a game, which is monitored by officials and video recorded, I wonder what he does in much less monitored situations like recruiting.

I hope some coach goes Bobby Knight on his ***. Just beats the **** out of him during a handshake. Wish it would have been Harbaugh before he left.

Harbaughhad no reason to. He did the *** beating on the field.

Blows me away that Kiffin is still around. The crook hasn't won anywhere he has been.

If we don't beat USC this year...I would be very disappointed. If we do beat them...I hope Kiffin find a way to stick around for a long, long time and continue these antics, driving USC into the middle of the PAC-12 pack permanently.
