Sounds like some of the requirements for the future ND HC.
I wouldn't mind it. It would be great if BK was a little more this way.
Except for the whole "2nd dirtiest program in the nation" thing.

In ISD Intel today they discussed why it was extremely unlikely that Kelly would make this move, discussing the specific hurdles and downsides and upside to the move. And then they talked about the four candidates they felt are at the top of Florida's list right now... Chip Kelly, Gus Malzahn, Hugh Freeze, and Stoops. We'll see if it gets past that group.
Chip Kelly lolz
Dabo Swinney couldn't win 7 games a year at ND. Would be the worst fit EVER.

A little surprised Jim McElwain isn't getting much love for the FLA job. Look at the turn around of Colorado State. Plus he has a year of coaching in the pros and 4 years as Alabama's OC so he has the SEC experience.
Dabo is overrated. He and Bo Pelini remind me of each other. I think Stoops would go to Michigan before FLA. Chip isn't leaving the NFL and he's doing well there. McElwain isn't the splashy hire but he's a good coach.
Maybe T-Town can enlighten us on Mc?
Gary Andersen is somebody that intrigues me in a couple of years.

I just look at the ND graduation rates and assume they are smarter players. Now, you always have a young kid do dumb sh!t (Tommy Rees) and ND even has it's bigger offenders (Will Mahone) but for the most part, it seems ND gets individuals that make better decisions.
I have been saying this for a while. McElwain is the best mid-major coach out there this year, and I really hope that Michigan doesn't hire him.

It has nothing to do with player smarts. Intelligence is relatively equal. It's that the players who come to ND came from a different upbringing that stressed the importance of thinking long term. That tends to be the case with students in general who are at the more elite institutions. I don't question that those at the directional schools of the world could hack it at the elite schools provided they focus their efforts appropriately. BUT that's the kicker. Most would rather get drunk, high, chase a$$, watch mindless tv and other things that satisfy an immediate want or desire. This limits their potential to demonstrate their smarts/intelligence.
