Wow....crazy finish....even when we were playing poorly, there was very little bad body language that I saw, and NO DAMN QUIT. This team has finally gotten back to the FIGHTING Irish, and I love it. It's not just the win, which is awesome, but the way they kept after it, even after giving up the late lead. Really great stuff and encouraging to see....I am really looking forward to the future!

What a fun game to watch from start to finish! The defenses dominated early and the sand lot assassin came in for the spark! I LOVE this school. From the history to the helmets, I get feelings deep inside that move my soul. Thank you team, for making this season one of my favorites.

To the fellas that destroy certain kids in these game day threads, please leave your criticisms to the coaches. These kids bleed for our blue and gold and, imo, are above your petty observations. They want to win more than all of us and are, ultimately, imperfect.

Great to get the win. Some things to build on and some players who won’t see as much PT next year (Elliot, Coleman, Crawford and others). We had been expecting big things from Boykin all year he just hadn’t received the opportunities. Today he made catches that weren’t made by our team all year. He is the WR we need to make sure returns.

Obviously not perfect. But in each of his previous seasons here, there was at least one major asterix on his accomplishments that made it difficult to defend him without reservation. This seems to be the first season that he's checked all the most important boxes: record, major bowl victory, and recruiting.

Yesterday was my annual cyacle training putting me on daybshift for a week. My training LT was kind enough to let me watch the majority of this game. Missed the finish but I can’t wait to see it. Biggest bowl I have seen the Irish win since I’ve started school. I saw them win the cotton bowl but I was only 4 when that happened)
