Not too much to complain about given how badly we finished the season. NYD game against a big name opponent.

Very good defense for LSU, and better on offense than you would expect. Etling is a borderline top 10 QB.

Orgeron is a bad coach but his coordiantors are as good as it gets... with a month to prepare, Aranda will embarrass Long. Canada is good enough to put together a game plan to score on Elko's defense which will wear down as ND's offense continues to go 3-and-out.

I'll take LSU 38 Notre Dame 10. Game will be tight early and get out of hand in the second or third quarter.

Lax, I thought this was ACamps thing. I have maintained all year the SEC sucks outside the top 3. Nothing has changed my mind. ND rolls.

ND throttled the Men From Troy, Sagarin's 15th Rated Team, W 49 - 14

LSU was humiliated by the Boys From Troy, Sagarin's 74th Rated Team, 24-21

Oddly enough, we may be better off with this than a matchup against ISU. That said, I think our offense, barring a MAJOR improvement from what we saw in November, will be the reason we get embarrassed yet again on the big stage.

Side question -- would this game be considered big enough to qualify as BK's 1st big bowl win?

You know better than to lend any credence to the transitive property in college football, BGIF.

Notre Dame was 9-3 versus the 3rd Toughest Schedule.

LSU was 9-3 versus the 62nd Toughest Schedule.

You can continue to wet your pants for the next 29 days while I'll be cheering for BW to learn how to throw a successful screen pass in that time.

Spot on. If this were a mid-tier bowl, ND would win a last second game. Jan 1 bowl with a chance to finish with. 10 wins & give ND their first New Year’s Day bowl win since 1994....embarrassing blowout as ND wets their pants again on a national stage.

Oh man, all I see is them stuffing our run and Brandon trying to throw. Bad, bad, bad.

I was hoping for an easier opponent to end the year positively.

Comes down to whether the Irish can run the ball. If not, them LSU DB's could make it a long day for BW. Even with all that, your score prediction is not likely to materialize.

31-13 LSU

Elko’s Defense does a good job but the offense not being on the field much is gonna wear them down.

However i’ll Be decked out in all my ND gear cheering, drink and yelling at the tv.

Prove me wrong BW.

This game will completely depend on Wimbush’s mental state.

If he feels comfortable and start completing pass at a P5 level QB rate, this will be a good game. Sub 50% completion rate, this game will be ugly (For the good guys)

If we come in healthy and fired up, I think we have a good chance. We had some success running the ball against LSU in the Music City Bowl back in 2014, and they had a very good defense at that time too. Our defense should be much better than they were in that last matchup, it's just a matter of BW playing well I think.

42-14 with Brandon Wimbush announcing he is transferring after getting benched at halftime.

My one hope is our team got banged up around the 9th-10th week and the team of the past 3 weeks has been the aberration.

To me, it looks like a pattern. We'll see on the first day of the New Year, hopefully we get to carry some optimism into the signing period and spring ball.

I am going 24-17 Notre Dame...it would appear I am in the minority, but I think we see the Irish of the first several games of this year.

Think ND has more to prove in this game than LSU. ND always plays better as the underdog. Think positive going into the off season! Go Irish. Wimbush will get it done, but it will be ugly.

Would shit myself if BK puts some miracle game plan together using both wimbush and book giving me flashbacks to '14 music City bowl with Zaire and Golson.

I think that’s what should be done. When Book is in LSU will think pass. Then you can run some RPO’s, because Book is sneaky quick.

My thoughts on current state of season: we lost to a conf champ, playoff participant, and 2 conf runner ups.

Two on the road with a first year starter, the other his first career start.

If that's the scenario you laid out for me this last summer before season I'm signing up. A bowl opponent I feel like we actually have a shot to beat is all the better.

The bowl game at a neutral site should help and I expect a competitive game.
