He helped Pat set up a new account to post under which he did for a bit. Koon said Pat just wanted it to log on and read, but eventually went rogue. I don't remember how he was eventually caught.

I actually don't even think Pat went rogue under his new name. He was relatively well behaved. But we found out that he was back and so action was taken.

They can simply not try to log in. The whole "he just wanted an account to read the board" excuse was pure BS or Koon is an imbecile. My guess, it was just backpeddling on Koon's part in an attempt to not get banned for bringing him back.

I remember him contacting in pm or something stating pat was coming back to the board... I just laughed and clapped my hands and walked away from that one... I am assuming I wasn't the only one he contacted about it as they were caught quickly and I honestly hadn't had many interactions with koon prior to that and I'm sure he has 'board buddies' he's closer to...

Of course. You only have to be logged in to post. The vast majority of visitors to IE are unregistered guests who simply read the threads.

I can't remember the name, but I'm pretty sure Pat's second account was active for a decent amount of time before he couldn't help himself and started posting again. Of course he definitely intended to start posting again at some point, but he waited it out a while before doing so.

By "going rogue," I meant that he hadn't really acted out or been a nuisance with his *secret* account.

I will say reading the site when not signed in is a totally different ball game. For me it was harder to navigate.
As far as Pat and his other name, I don't remember it but I do remember towards the end some of his anger started to show a bit.

Easily. Just log out and view like anyone else. But then you get a ton of ads and only 6 posts viewed per page. When I was banned I simply made a new username (my daughter's name - I had no problem that the mods knew I was still around) so I didn't have to deal with all those ads, and I never posted.

And yes, I fully expect Whiskey to retroactively ban me now that the 'secret' is out lol (the secret that everyone but Pat and kuenjha already figured out).

You underestimate the Koon. He was more like 150 a day. He was just warming up at 50.

I found him mildly and just occasionally entertaining (In a "Fire Longo? That's cute" way) most days when he was posting, but overall this off season has been rather pleasant if you ask me. You can only go to the well with the same joke so many times before it gets tired.

That sounds right, though I'm foggy on the details. AFAIK, there's nothing wrong with creating an alt account for more convenient browsing during a ban. But posting from such an account will almost always get you in trouble. Even if one's main account isn't banned, posting from alt account is prima facie evidence of skullduggery.
