That is a lot of extra work for the coaches game-planning and learning tendencies of opposing coaches.

I agree, but that goes both ways. Opposing coaches have to learn and game plan for ND too.

Not to mention, after a few years of the ACC rotation, ND will have a general familiarity with most of the teams that will be rotating onto the schedule (unless there are coaching changes).

Here perhaps is the missing secondary play-caller that we've lacked. ... and perhaps the more savvy sidekick that Max has needed. If this guy can do anything like what Riggs did for us, our defense [barring injuries] just got dangerously good again.

As was stated on NSD by his HS Coach, he is really good in run support. Doesn't appear to spend a lot of time deep down field but boy can he lay the lumber at and around the LOS.

Seems like that's all ND has back there are hard hitting, run stuffing safeties that are average at best in coverage.

To answer your question, lately the game has been mid-late April. April 11th, 18th, and 25th would all be likely dates I'm guessing. If I was going to put money on a date, it's the 18th.

So, we've got 1 month till Spring practice and expert video analysis on IE....and then 2 months till Blue Gold.

Good analysis but the numbers are off. The #s presented total 93 scholarships, not 92, so 8 "cuts" are needed.

Based on production, five of the eight are fairly easy to predict (as the article states): Atkinson, Brown, Councell, Hounshell and Rabassa. Ishaq is probably #6. How BK fits Carlisle and Grace on the 85 is the big question. My guess is there's at least one medical casualty and/or possible transfer we don't know about and possibly a bit of rolling the dice on BK's part.

Agreed. This is a huge change from past regimes. Kelly has been building us year by year, incurring the usual setbacks but not allowing it to deter him from the plan.
