So Illinois 247 is reporting that they are hiring Dre Brown away from ND for the same position he’s in now ( lateral move). He is an alumni but it’s weird that no one else has mentioned anything. He was just given a raise and promotion, I’d be curious if he’s using this for more money. What’s interesting is that it’s been long speculated that he would replace DMC at rb coach eventually.

I mean they've been talking about these facilities upgrades for over half a decade now. And they've been paying coordinators top 10 in the country money since BVG.

This article says Illinois is making him Director of Player Personnel. He's listed at ND as Director of Recruiting, so while it may not necessarily be a pay raise it likely is a promotion at least in title/responsibility

Edit: Matt Freeman confirmed it was a promotion
