This may have been spoken for already, but I am to lazy to look. I noticed that the Adidas deal with the school is up after the 2013-14 seasons. Im sure that Adidas will fight like hell to keep ND part of the brand. That being said, does anyone know what the plan is? thanks

For their own benefit, I hope both Lo Wood and Alex Welch leave with a ND degree, like Dayne Crist.

They will both have graduated with an undergrad from ND. They'll be just fine. This is the right move for them. Neither was going to see the field here in 2014.

I am actually the opposite. Lo was rumored to be unhappy for a while. I thought we might see Welch back IF asked. I.E. I thought he would wait to see how things shook out.

Hadn't been following that close this year. Actually, i think I thought Lo was a junior, but realize the error of my ways. Wish them both the best.

No, Wood and Welch's departure will not affect the available roster spots. Whiskey posted in another thread we have 20 commits and about 7 spots available for 5th years and uncommitted recruits.
