Who were you referring to playing in a half empty Metlife? Hofstra?
I wish we played Hofstra every year. Guaranteed victory.

Wat is it?
Sportsbook put ND's win total for the season at 9.
A healthy team should win 10+ but we'll see.
I ran into a ND coach a couple of weeks ago, and without spilling too much, I will say that when I asked him about Devin Studstill he said, “LOVE him. He’s a Sunday player, no doubt.”
When I talked about how the injuries to the defense seemed to prevent them from playing any nickle and dime, he just laughed and said, "Man, had to stay in our base 80% of the time!" From our conversation it sounds like they will be able to match-up with the offense MUCH better this year. (LOVE that but might hate it too - BVG getting tricky/fancy/exotic has not been a good recipe in the past. I have 9 toes off the BVG bandwagon but my pinky toe is holding out hope.)
Another coach (not a Saturday on-the-field coach) said that of all the players, the biggest weight-room beast who gets after it is Shawn Crawford. He wasn’t disparaging any other players, he was just marveling at the kid’s work ethic. The other coach chimed in that he studies film like no other and was primed to play a huge role last year before his injury, which devastated the coaching staff because they know how special he is.
TIFWIW.

Thanks for sharing.
- Love Studstill, always have. Hopefully that comes to fruition.
- Though I'm not BVG's biggest fan, I sure he proves me wrong this year. I would love to be wrong about the guy, lol.
- If two of our best "new" players are in the secondary, then this defense could improve. Should be fun and stressful to watch.
This was from yesterday.
