I think the 9-win mark is because people know ND doesn't return many "starters," and so they assume a step back is possible, even being favored in 11 of 12 games at this point.

But they aren't taking into account how many "new" starters have played plenty of football, which is something we are all well aware of haha.

Per Matt Freeman of ISD, ND just announced a partnership with Bleacher Report for 2016.

I'm excited as hell. We may cringe a little at first, worried about some "negative" exposure but think about how this could positively impact the program. Kelly and Swarbrick and have modernized the program without losing it's soul.

They've done a masterful job and I have no doubt this is just another carefully formulated step.

The quality of Bleacher Report varies widely and depends on the author or the story you are reading.

This. It has generally gotten better the last few years. They are trying to legitimize their brand, so this move is a huge plus for BR. The fact that Notre Dame will have a say in the content should help with what is released, how, and the quality.

I generally like using my BR app because it's easy to navigate and does a decent job at providing tweets and linking articles from other sources when news breaks.

The scaling of Bleacher Report in the last 5 or so years is amazing. Sure there's some dud writers left from when it was a gloried Barstool Sports (love the guys but not worth any info, just funny opinion) but I would say most of their new writers are great and new features are fantastic.

Same here. I love this. I'm a lil nervous that they cheese it up a lil but the staff is doing great at modernizing and providing social media exposure. I'll take all the NDFB content I can get.

I think we're down to 80 recruited scholarship players now with confirmation that Blankenship is done. Just some food for thought.

But we should still pass on all the guys except Jurkovec that have committed in '18. Wait for bigger fish.

This is by far the most shocking thing I have seen.. I didn't care for Nick at all until his senior year... Now look at him go

It actually is kind of worrisome. we knew he was good, but we may not have known what we had.

On the other hand, some people just really respond to the 8 months of intense, full-time football.

Same here. I thought he was overrated and didn't see much of an NFL future for him....

:sour:Just goes to show how quickly a real OL coach can boost a player. Been with Texans for 3 months and already vastly improved.

It also probably makes a big difference when you no longer have to work on the books and can straight train for football

To save some people from a heart attack, I'll post it here:

I know its still really early for mock drafts but Walter Football has Mike McGlinchey going #37 to Detriot and Isaac Rochell going to Pittsburgh (love it).
