Agree with this. I have a hard time seeing a long suspension for any of these guys for just marijuana. As Sherm said, a precedent has already been set.

Everyone's all over this kid, ya he messed up, but he's still young, never want to see a kids future be completely wiped away because of a thoughtless lack of judgement. Especially for misdemeanors. Clean it up, grow up, become a man, claim some responsibility and do what it takes to be a better man and move on.

Yeah. There's really no upside for Max to leaving school (If school will have him, which they probably will since this is neither an academic issue nor a felony). He's not going to be able to play anywhere this season regardless. So might as well get your degree and do the 5Y thing in the spring. He might even learn something.

and

Redfield needs to wake up right now. If everything that has been written about him over the last few years is true, the only taste of the NFL he'll get is being a practice body until cuts are required. Smoking pot isn't going to scare away NFL teams, but the fact he hasn't performed to date as expected is what they will look at.

Someone about 4 pages back mentioned him as the only upperclassman in the group. Kind of goes to his maturity, but also speaks positive about our other upperclassmen.

What an idiotic situation just before the season starts and a sad end to a disappointing career for Max Redfield (who I was so high on...no pun intended) and Devin Butler.

Hope the other guys pull their heads outta their asses and grow up. I know they're kids, and we all make mistakes, but riding around in a car with drugs and guns is not a mistake...it's plain stupidity and lack of responsibility.

Sheesh..what a weekend.

Actually was complimentary of BK and the University in a larger statement on issue. Comparison was randomly during a segment on Deshaun Watson

Finebaum also named ND as his 'sleeper team' for the CFB Playoff, so he can't think this situation will have much bearing on the outcome of the season

Finebum just displayed his level of competence with that statement. He should be embarrassed and I hope BK never grants him an interview. He can stick to getting bitched out by saban and the rest of those character builders in the south.

What was his statement? What exactly did he say?

If he said "Notre Dame is just as bad as Baylor," then yeah that would be a stupid thing to say. If he said "Baylor has lots of issues, and of course they're not the only ones... there are some issues in South Bend as well," that that would be a factually true and accurate statement.

Tbh I may have jumped the gun without knowing what was said exactly..... Good thing that's a legal maneuver around here. However if he equated it in any way that's just plain stupid
