Agree. The embarrassing headline and prospect of young men jeopardizing their future is the biggest pisser here. This doesn't change much on the field, and even if it did, who cares. Still gotta play and win, talk and excuses are desperate & cheap.

Not trying to defend his actions but according to documents he saw a woman kicking another woman in the head and pushed her off her.

Attacking a police officer is a different story although his defense could be; heat of the moment, middle of the night couldn't see anyone.

According to one of the guys that was with Devin at the linebacker, the woman he shoved was his girlfriend. She was in a fight with another girl when the cops showed up. One of the cops saw Devin shove a woman (his girlfriend) against a car and shoved Devin away from her. Devin shoved the cop in return and that was when he was tackled to the ground.

I agree with this. If we had better depth at safety this wouldn't hurt as much. A true freshman at FS is concerning but I trust staff to do the best with what we have. Who ever brought the gun should be gone for good. Butler should be gone for good. The other four should get 1-4 games. Smoking weed two weeks before kickoff is NOT championship football.

Word on the street is that the cops basically didn't have a reason to approach his vehicle and/or search his vehicle.

They decided to save themselves potential "profiling" headlines and let it go... and then the prosecutor made an ass of himself and said he didn't want to ruin the lives of guys that work so hard in the heat while us normal people sit in the air conditioning.

Honestly this is just mostly embarrassing for ND. The worst part was finding out from a Colin Cowherd smartass tweet. In the end it will hurt our depth, but not really much of our performance I don't think.

I'm not sure what to do with the kids, I'm going to wait a few days for all the details to come out. Perhaps it warrants a suspension, perhaps an expulsion, perhaps nothing. I'll wait and see (not that it matters what I do haha).

They are not going to dismiss players over pot. They didn't dismiss Cierre Wood and Utopo. Two game suspension for both.

Yeah. The old days of ResLife throwing the book at kids over pot possession seem to be in the past. The gun thing doesn't have much precedent with us though. Nor the flagrant stupidity of it all.

If had to guess, we're looking at misdemeanor charges and modest suspensions for most. Whoever is responsible for the firearm, and Redfield - because this isn't his first issue - might get more than that.

It was LITERALLY because he was a football player. The DA said he was dropping charges because he didn't want to ruin his life as a football player.

I heard they were going 73 in a 60, which is more than enough to pull them over. And the cop claimed to smell pot, which is enough reason to search the vehicle.

A guy from CA, 3 from FL and one from VA. Someone either purchased the gun out here or drove with it from home. I'm guessing most of these guys fly back and forth home, unless they're toting the gun in their duffel bag home in mom and dad's car. I'd guess the gun owner may also be the car owner.
