Like all IE attacks on me, I don't lead with arrogance and keep it to myself. Until someone draws first blood.

Ugh.
I live in Illinois near the Wisconsin state line. There's no TP to be found anywhere.

We basically live roll to roll. I get some when I need some.

Does the coffee filter thing work with septics tanks?

I may be forced to take some from work.

On the topic of mortality rate, South Korea has done an impressive job of testing and treating. Their experience with the virus shows roughly .75% mortality rate which is still 7.5X the flu but less than the disasters seen elsewhere.

Buy baby wipes, bruh.

That's what we've been doing lol. My daughter is one and still needs them, anyway.

Get a bidet. It's like unlimited toilet paper AND a drinking fountain.

Good call.
I'll have to see if they have the septic safe ones.

I've heard that "septic-safe" baby wipes do not really exist. Hell, I have been told that even if you do not have a septic tank that baby wipes do a number on plumbing.

IFF true, makes the mortality rate being reported a joke. Which I've been saying from D1.

And as many have stated, the fatality rate of the disease is not the big concern.

Medical authorities report that roughly 20% of all people who contract it need hospitalization to differing degrees.

If you do not have operating hospitals THEN you can worry about how deadly this thing is.

My brother is a civil engineer who specializes in water treatment, so I can confirm this. All wipes contain plastic and therefore don't breakdown. Even the ones marketed as "flushable" have fine print stating you shouldn't ever flush more than one at a time. If you've got a septic tank, I wouldn't put anything but TP down your toilet, because you'll be the one paying for it otherwise.

Please do everything you can to protect yourself. Yes, while the elderly and chronically ill are more likely to be effected and require hospitalization, there is an otherwise healthy patient in their 30s at the hospital I work at that is critically ill with COVID-19. Young, healthy people are not immune and this should not be taken lightly.

A girl I work with is a Chinese immigrant. Her friends and family have been in the middle of the chaos in China and her best friend died from the virus. She was in her mid 30s.

Most of the US population will have the disease within 3-4 weeks in my estimation. I still don't think we will see as many deaths as influenza which currently sits around 40K in the US so far this year. But this is still a large burden on our health system.

I take back what I said earlier when I said I think that people are overreacting. I still think the news talks about it way too much, but everyone please take care of themselves. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage by working on an ambulance, but I'll do what I can. Definitely washing my hands a lot more, disinfecting the items I use a lot, and trying to stay home as much as possible.
