I will never complain about Book again. He’s not as “good” as Kizer, or Clausen, or Quinn. But those guys never beat a #1 team or even came close. Book is a absolute gamer and just wins games.

Hats off to Book. Played a helluva game. 378 total yards, 1 TD, 2 more TDs dropped.

Some of the Book bashing was silly as hell tonight. Worked his way through three key drops, 2 of which would have been TDs. Worked his way through the lack of PI calls. Made several clutch 3rd down conversions even when play calling was predictable. Made huge pick ups with his legs. Led the late 4Q drive. And never gave up through the entire game including OT.

We have not won a game like this probably since 93 FSU although 12 was a magical year.

I’ve been doubtful of Book for two years. No more. Best game ever for him. He still wasn’t perfect but who is. He’ll probably get the game ball.

Kurt Hinish was the best player on the field for ND. He WAS EVERYWHERE. He deserves a game ball.

Secondary needs some work.

BK in the first team meeting needs to play the clip of BC hitting the FG in 93. Go Irish!!

Edit: One of the worst officiating performances ever. Truly horrible

Don't know about the game ball (you have to give that to Book) but boy he was good.

I know Clemson team was missing their all-world QB.

I know this Clemson team was injury depleted.

I know we had the breaks go our way.

I know they took us into double overtime despite all that.

But that freshman backup QB isn't just any freshman backup QB. I know injuries and all we easily played a top 5 team as is. And I know this ND team played their heart out in every phase. But I also know, asterisks and all, a god damn W feels better than an L tonight.

Great win and I’m celebrating. But just to keep in perspective we gotta win out and get three more big ones to achieve the impossible dream. I love you all being an Irish fan for the last 11 years, 4 jobs, and lots of different partners in the world has been with all of you. This board has been the most constant thing in my life since 2009 and regardless of the rest of the season, regardless of the acc championship, regardless of the playoffs, and regardless of then national championship we have defeated the number 1 team.
