Ok... well, give me a moment to put a couple couches in front of me to block the beer cans...

[\peeks around the corner]

Ok... here me out. This is a good move for BVG.

No wait....

Ok... the Big12 is filled with air raid offenses. They don't give a shit about stopping the run or petty things like time of possession. Their game plans consist of one thing... get more possessions than the other guys. So they are going to let him do what he does. Which is exotic blitzes, randomly throw lineman into coverage, namely... chaos. Sure... they'll give up shit loads of points and big plays. But they won't care, as that's not how they win games. He'll get to fill recruiting gaps with jucos, he'll get to jailbreak blitz on 3rd and 5, he'll get to do what he does.

He's an analyst, not the coordinator.

Is this true? Is BVG landing at OkieState? Confirmed?

Very interesting. Yeah I know he isn't really coaching, that he's an analyst.

But I am amazed he didn't get an NFL job, aren't you?

Not.

Maybe Oklahoma hired BVG to play a double agent and fuck with Okie St's defense?

Wait, I thought he just took a job at Okie State?

He was an analyst for them last year and they had 2 openings in their 10 coach group but it might have just been speculation:

There was some thought Brian VanGorder could be in line for one of the two vacant assistant positions on Oklahoma State’s staff, but it appears the longtime defensive coach will land elsewhere.

VanGorder, who spent the 2017 season as a defensive analyst in Stillwater, will leave to become Louisville’s defensive coordinator, FootballScoop reported Saturday.

VanGorder has been a defensive coordinator at Notre Dame, Auburn and Georgia, among other places. Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy has yet to announce a new defensive coordinator after firing Glenn Spencer two weeks ago.

The Cowboys must also hire a 10th assistant coach, and it seems likely that could come on the defensive side of the football, as well.

Remember his first game as Louisville DC is versus Bama. I bet they couldn't find anyone to take the job and gold old Brian is desperate. They lose 9 starters from this year's D.

The lost 9 starters from a defense that ranked 84th in both FEI & S&P. In S&P, the success rate ranked 104. They were really bad and it doesn't look good for next year either. BVG may be a boost for them.
