Checking in at #5....
"Brian Kelly: Think about the storied history of Notre Dame football. You know the names of Knute Rockne, Ara Parseghian and Lou Holtz, but did you realize how close Kelly was to having more wins with the Irish than any of them? Now, officially, he's not close. The NCAA vacated Notre Dame's wins in 2012 and 2013, but in the world where we don't pretend those games didn't happen, and that Notre Dame didn't win them, Kelly has 92 wins in South Bend. That's 13 fewer than Rockne's 105, which means there's a good chance Kelly will pass Rockne during the 2021 season. He took over a program that found itself on the brink of becoming a historical relic and has restored the shine to the golden dome. 2019 rank: 7 (+2)"
Can we talk about how dumb vacating wins is?
This is precisely why, at this point, it's no one's fault but our own.I get it. There needs to be some sort of punishment. Can we talk about how ND had to vacate wins for being a "good guy" and self reporting a problem, and saying "we will take what the NCAA hands down." Meanwhile, UNC has fake classes, Miami has strip clubs on retainer, etc. yet there is nothing...
Proud to be all in with our great coach.
Roughest road in college football ... maybe ANY sport. (Speaking of facilitated support, tools, and inbuilt limitations vs expectations.)

That is because ND is stupid and the other two are not.
I came, to reply to an Italicized comment. WOW! You Ok?
I'm just still pissed at how ND handled that whole thing. Golson as well.
The only issue I had with how ND initially responded to it in the PC and how they backed down when the NCAA ruled.
But the football program was placed in an unwinnable situation. The university had to go back and void all of those players' test scores, making them academically ineligible after the fact. Most schools wouldn't even bat an eye at this kind of misconduct, punish the player behind closed doors (if at all) and carry on business as usual, but ND holds their players to a higher standard. We don't reward shortcuts, nor do we tolerate cheating. That shit flies at Alabama, Auburn, FSU, etc. But not here. What I hate is the public perception and that all falls squarely on the NCAA. They had a chance to set a precedent. Be firm yet fair with programs who were academically honest and open, and hammer schools who make attempts to sweep major infractions under the rugs.
The NCAA chose to do the exact opposite. It's because of stuff like this why the NCAA's reputation continues to sink to new lows. Personally, I'm more mad at ND for them just accepting the penalty instead of telling the NCAA to go suck a tailpipe.
Would some of the media call ND petty? Sure, but the media will find something to bitch about re: ND anyways. I would've made it a point that the NCAA has failed to uphold the standards it is suppose to represent, and that schools now have zero incentive to come forward with potential violations or infractions. Instead, programs will now keep things hidden and if the NCAA comes sniffing around, get lawyers involved and force them to back off.
As for Golson, I don't know what you're talking about. He cheated, got suspended. Came back.

Just hoping there's enough money left over for a new OL coach.
I hear this guy Hiestand is available to coach OL. Just find someone to recruit for him, he'll be happy.
He normally makes sure his staff is taken care off during his contract extensions
Extension through 2024, Reesus HC 2025. Book it. No pun intended.
