Why aren't they pairing Disney+ with ESPN? Charge me $15/month for that all day and I'm damn close to chopping that cord with some other supplemental programming from Hulu or something.

The main PIA is becoming the search for something to watch - I don't want to look across four platforms, I want one search function.

THIS!

I have no time (or pateince or tech wherewithall) to figure out all the cord cutting/streaming stuff...is there a specific brand of high def TV with best picture that has all (not some) of these streaming services built into them so I could subscribe right off the TV?

I'm about to "start fresh" (try to cord cut a bit) with all my cable/streaming stuff (dropping TWC for FIOS) and what's actually MOST important in all of this is that I can pick up ONE remote and watch cable and the streaming services and go back and forth between them on the TV.

right now i'm watching Netflix off my work laptop and my wife/kids watching it on their ipad and iphones!

I really liked The Highwaymen. Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner. The story of Frank Hamer and the hunt for Bonnie & Clyde. Solid flick, especially for Netflix.

What you're looking for doesn't exist if you're set on using FiOS. Your set-top box will always have its own remote.

Unless you switch to a DMVPD (digital cable company like YouTube TV, Sling TV, DirecTV Now, PSVue, etc.). Then you can get a Samsung Smart TV and everything will be in one place.

Just finished "The Spy" miniseries on Netflix. Thought it was excellent for the most part. Just sooooo weird seeing Sacha Baron Cohen in a serious role.

I thought the same thing. I kept waiting on him to jump out with a thong on.... took me a couple episodes to get used to it.

Great show though.

Assuming I can watch any of the Disney renaissance movies anytime I want to already, why? I'm genuinely confused why everyone seems so hyped to pay a monthly subscription.

BTW: Genuinely not trying to be argumentative, just feel like I've missed something because everyone seems to be stoked about this and I'm not seeing the value beyond getting a few nostalgia fixes in that I can't find elsewhere.

Disney+ will need to release more content to earn my money, ill pay for a month once the Star wars show is completely released but that is about it

I am super jazzed because kids.

I can watch The Mandalorian at night with my wife while my son experiences the Disney classics for the first time.

And now that it's winter, my son will find one that he'll like to watch over and over, and I will pay to have that kind of free time for gaming during winter break.

Already got it. It's just not old Disney classics. It's Star Wars and Marvel as well. They will also be creating their own original content of these series that have brought them billions. It's also the only streaming service for The Simpsons.

It's $7 bucks a month. I also saw that Apple TV+ is $4-5/mo. November 12th isn't the start of Disney, it's the beginning of the fall for Netflix - at least to drop their price.

I don't know if I've ever actually watched a Disney movie. Is the Sandlot Disney?

The Sandlot is a near-perfect film, change my mind

In all the annuals of 'overratedness' within greater American Society... few things have a higher rating of 'grossly overrated' as The Sandlot... average at best film that middle aged white dude thinks is the fucking Godfather.

Don't bother changing my mind, I am right already confirmed.

Finished S2 of Kominsky Method. Me and the wife love that show. Those two have great on-screen chemistry.

Also, finished S1 of Dead to Me. Which was better than I expected. Looking forward to seeing what they do with S2.

I was looking through Netflix last night and saw so many shows, films and docs that sounded interesting that I really became overwhelmed by it all. How you all keep up is beyond me.
