i mean they already took the gentlemen's lounge from us

We still believe that whoever removed that was not a poster of any kind (read: website owners) because it wasn't a mod and it wasn't Pham, who was the only admin at the time.

All facts are friendly, and I'm smarter, better looking, and evaluate film better than each and every mod on this site. And it's not close.

Alternative facts

I would argue that I simply told him that I couldn't believe that he would embed a video of an actual murder and to not do so in the future. Then he escalated the situation. I'll let the board read page 1 for themselves and decide. Either way, we were both punished. So I'm not sure why you're on here trying to villianize me for no reason. I didn't see you pipe up when the situation was happening. Maybe your conscientious concern could have de-escalated the situation at the time, rather than this veiled attempt to throw me under the bus. All under the assumption that you think I'm not here to defend myself as well.

Despite that. Thank you IrishLion and Beau for handling the situation the best you could. While I disagreed at the time, you were both civil and respectful in our communication. You did your thankless duties to the best of your ability and it is appreciated. If I could only add one final comment, it would be with a salty taste in my mouth that I would ask you to consider reducing Kmoose's ban from permanent. I do not regret nor think differently of his comments or original posting of the video, but I would be remiss to not acknowledge that it was a heated conversation that got out of hand. I have no knowledge of his past transgressions that may warrant his permanent ban. But I also firmly believe in the sanctity of an open board with broad opinions and personalities. I have no love for him as a poster, but I will never infringe on another posters ability to be here.

Well technically he wasn't reprimanded for the original offense. Maybe he should be. Like giving someone life +30.

Wouldn't just....not logging in have the desired effect, sans the actual ban? Never understood why anyone would ask to be banned.

IE is like crack. It'll make you do stupid things, like venture into the Trump thread. You try to go clean, but it keeps pulling you back in. Sometimes cold turkey is best.

Yup. I did this while transitioning into a new job and handling some family matters and I did it so I had no way to log in.

Or like cigarettes. You hear the stories of how bad it is for you, but you go ahead and light up your first one (first post). You finish and think, "I enjoyed that." Then you light up (post) again and again as the cancer slowly and unsuspectingly starts to ravage you. Then it hits you at once. You're constantly arguing with Wooly, trying to get Koon to be see your point and you know it's too late. The only way to beat this affliction is to go through radical treatment (ban) because you know it's the only way to beat it.

Bogs left and had been back posting. Has he left again?

Yes, he asked for us to delete his profile.

I'd imagine he'll create a new one and be back just before the season (or just after the season starts), when we need his positive outlook the most.

I couldn't find a profile for him this morning so suspected he had done that. Thanks for the quick response.

"Sitting is the new smoking" I hear. Everyone sits at their computer to post on IE. Coincidence? I think not.

False, I'm a very nuanced gentleman who uses a standing desk at work.

The first two weeks were hell, but now I don't even realize when I've been on my feet for nearly 8 hours.

Real men had their first cigarette before they were real men and they didn't enjoy it.

They they turned into hipster douchebags in college and start smoking Djarum Blacks.

I got hooked on Marlboro Smooths. So rough and strong, but tasted like a Peppermint. Then I went really hipster and switched to American Spirits.

Now I don't smoke.

There's a woman in the office who played D1 basketball. She's like 6'6" with heels and uses a standing desk. It's very intimidating.

American Spirits are actually pretty good. Completely different than a Djarum Black.

They are fantastic cigarettes, slow burners, and lack most of the chemicals of other cigs.

Still addictive and hipster, tho.

Maybe it's a regional thing. Everyone I know that smokes Spirits is either older dudes or hippies. I've never seen a hipster with one. I would think that smoking didn't fit into their vegan/non-gmo/gluten-free lifestyle.
